I added celery, broccoli to their diet. They also love cucumbers as a snackI think celery is very antiinflamitory. Broccoli is supergood for them. I started using the stalk too. Cut it up and feed it to tg6em as a treat they love it when they are hungry before the meat..Now I don't waste the broccoli stalks.I added "Thrive" supplement & they really got energy. Watch the story of the Vets education from a Chinese Dr who was tge only Dr. To help this horsetaught him about some of the unique ingredients.

Thank you for taking the time to inform us out here. I have owned dogs all my life (fifty years!) large dogs like German Shepherds in my younger years, then Boston Terriers later on, and when I stopped breeding them, I then began to rescue whatever dog needed help so I had chihuahua's and crossbreeds mostly chihuahua/jack russells. At some point just about all had some stomach issues, all had teeth issues and some had a real problem with doing their number two's. I wish I had known back then about raw food diets. It sure makes a TON of sense and even if it does take a lot more effort than opening a kibble bag and canned food, the HEALTH that happens from the effort is well worth it, not only to keep your best friends feeling top notch but also cuts WAY down on the trips to the vet and the high cost of those. I am teaching the younger people in my circles about this type of feeding and hope that they will have much healthier dogs and cats and also not have to watch them have health issues. I would for sure invest in a good grinder if I had multiple dogs to prepare for, I have the time (retired) and usually only one or two dogs at any given time I am fostering so I just cut up the chicken and veggies. Thanks again guys for this great info

I just had a thought while reading your comment. Actually I have a question. Do you think there is a similar diet designed for cats? I am going crazy with my cat and her dislike for every dry cat food I can think of. She hates Blue, any kibble for indoor cats, hates Hills and I could go on and on. She came to us from our local shelter two years ago and she was eight years old then. She is ten now. She turns her nose up to food in general. She acts like it is the most boring thing in the world!! I have offered her a bite of scrambled egg, I have put canned tuna and fresh cooked salmon into her dish and she smells it and walks away! I have never seen or heard of a cat doing that!! Any suggestions!? Thanks for listening!
@HouseofWrinkles3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes you absolutely can feed cats RAW as well. But I must tell you, in my experience if your cat turns down fresh Tuna there is a medical issue. I urge you to have her checked for thyroid disease. The RAW diet for cats would be very similar to the one for dogs. And given she checks out and everything is ok you can certainly feed her RAW. Please keep us updated on her ❤️ we pray she gets an appetite soon.

I’ve decided to do this for my girls. I have a 2 year old Frenchie, Georgia. And a 9 year old Morkie, May. Georgia has started having scaling patches, risen type bumps, and she’s licking her paws. She also has a Frito type smell. I feed them Purina One. I think it’s time to go to the best possible diet and from what I see, I think it’s the BARF diet. Thank you so much for this very informative video and also being such a great loving family to your precious pups❤️

Did you try this diet? If so how did it go?
@kimmyscooking79563 жыл бұрын
@@Camtheman4 it has been GREAT. I’ve been feeding them a raw diet for three weeks and I’ve seen amazing results with both of my girls. Exactly what the House of Wrinkles say about their pups. My girls have more energy, they are more alert, their coats are starting to shine, my Frenchies skin issues have just about all dried up and sloathed off, and their breath doesn’t stink. I want to feed my cats a raw diet but it’s trickier with cats. Or so I’ve read.

Price difference between raw diet and kibble?
@kimmyscooking79563 жыл бұрын
@@Big_Uncle_Randy kibble is definitely cheaper but with one of mine having severe skin allergies and treating her through the vet would run me 150.00 and up, a month on vet bills and medications, BARF is saving me money. I just made 25 pounds of dog food and it ran me approximately 35.00 to make it. I add coconut oil, Greek yogurt, Terramax fish oil, diatomaceous earth, and super seeds to their portion before serving it twice a day. It’s amazing what it’s done for both of them. They are more alert, their hair is shiny and soft, and Georgia does not suffer from itching and have risen type bumps all over her anymore. They have more energy too. IF I had big dogs, I couldn’t afford it, but this has been a great alternative for my two and I’m glad I can do it. It’s a messy nasty process grinding the chicken, adding the organ meat, sardines, etc., but it doesn’t bother me. I’ve even considered taking orders and doing it for other people but I’m far from putting my shingle out! Do your research. House of Wrinkles and the vet they recommend watching here on You Tube convinced me it’s the best diet for your dogs. It’s good for cats as well but they have to have so many other nutrients adding to their diet. I’ve kept my cats on cat food but they get sardines with yogurt, coconut oil, and the diatomaceous earth once a day. I even take the diatomaceous earth myself! It’s very good for humans and animals. I even use it around my rabbits. Have a good weekend. We are celebrating my oldest granddaughter today. Her 20th birthday was yesterday.

So happy that your beautiful dogs are now eating what they are supposed to eat😊 Whole Prey or BARF as long as it is Raw is just the way it is. Please consider Green tripe and a variety of other organs(beef lungs and liver) Green tripe is still the best, it has equal portions of phosphorus and calcium, if you notice their great ancestors eat intestines first (usually the alpha male) coz that is the most healthy part. Please read into that don’t just take my word experience on it. Keep it up and more power

Hi! Thank you for watching our channel! Congratulations on your new baby coming. To transition you will want to buy a bag of whatever the puppy is currently eating. Wait to switch to raw at least a month after he comes to his new home. Often times puppies will have an upset stomach when they go to a new home away from their litter mates. New surroundings can cause stress and upset tummy. Once the puppy is use to his new home. You will mix his current puppy food with a tad of raw food like 25/75 for 3 days. Then 50/50 for about a week. Then 75/ 25 for 3 or 4 days. Then 100% raw

In all honesty not grinding is much better for there teeth but it is such a big chocking hazard. If you decide not to grind definitely monitor him. I would just feed it to him by hand for a while till he learns to chew and break up the bone. I can’t wait to get my puppy in a few weeks and I have a few questions about raw that I didn’t see in this comment area. If I missed it, I apologize. I want to do raw for my new puppy and my old dogs (EBD 13 1/2 yo and 40#, Lab/Retriever and ASBT around 70# and 12 1/2 years old- actually ASBT isn’t doing well , hoping this helps him a bit.) Was there bone in the piece of chicken you gave to clean their teeth once per week and was that given as a treat or subtracted from their daily portion for that day? Can you give their daily food that has been grinder to them frozen or partially frozen, why or why not? Does thawed make them eat slower? Do you prefer glass bowls over plastic bowls since you have to wash them afterwards anyway? Would you recommend this diet in a slow feeder bowl for dogs that wolf their food down? I know you mentioned that you had a dog with dairy allergies at one point, was the yogurt affecting that as well? How do you know what the ideal weight for your bull dog puppy will be as an adult? I am good at math, but you said 8% of their ideal weight as an adult given multiple times a day when they are a puppy, so I would give (let’s go with 50# as her ideal weight) a puppy 4# of food a day? That seems like a lot of food. Do the dogs have huge poop piles?

Loved this video! Was so helpful for out English Bulldog, we also have a French Bulldog, is the same recipe good for both bulldogs?
@HouseofWrinkles3 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! Truthfully every dog is different. All you can do is try it. One thing we have recently learned is it’s important to change up the meat every 4-6 weeks. We are currently doing dear meat. But we have also done Turkey.

Your dogs are beautiful, how’s their stool by the way? Solid or wet? Also, how often you feed them?
@HouseofWrinkles3 жыл бұрын
Thank you!!! On RAW food their poop is solid. We feed them 2x a day. Morning and around 5pm

Hi! Could I add the extra things to the kibble? I don’t necessarily have time and extra money to do the whole raw diet

@houseofwrinkles thanks for the amazing videos. Can you feed this to pregnant dogs and can they have the probiotics while pregnant?
@HouseofWrinkles Жыл бұрын
Yes. We do recommend adding extra calories to it for pregnant dogs. But we don’t recommend changing a pregnant dogs diet in the middle of her pregnancy.
@Kingminimlr Жыл бұрын
@@HouseofWrinkles we’ve been feeding her this recipe for a few months. She’s only a week pregnant. What kind of extra calories should I give her. And can I keep giving her the probiotics also?
@HouseofWrinkles Жыл бұрын
Yes keep giving the probiotic. Get a ground beef with high fat content. And at around 45 weeks start giving her a larger portion of food.

Hello enjoy the video How long can you keep that in fridge and do you freeze the rest of the ground mix ??
@HouseofWrinkles3 жыл бұрын
Hello! After you make the food you want to freeze it immediately. Set out what you will use about 6-7 hours before feeding time.

How the heck did you train your dogs so beautifully? I am babysitting a bulldog and two Frenchy’s. They are wonderful dogs but they have zero training, it’s sort of like dealing with Helen Keller’s b4 she met her teacher. I’m amazed at yours Not to mention your raw food prep … wow
@HouseofWrinkles3 жыл бұрын
Awe… thank you!! Bulldogs are harder to train that’s for sure! We I’m fortunate to work from home mostly and I think that has given us an advantage. More time with them

So when you have that many dogs in these house how do you keep the smell down? Mine stay super clean but there is an odor
@HouseofWrinkles3 жыл бұрын
Lots of candles 😆. I clean constantly. I have baby powder scented wipes I wipe them with to keep the smell down also a special “ dog perfume” that our groomer makes.

Good day, the last time I commented here we were figuring out how to feed our new bulldog. I thank you everyday for your channel. I use to judge people with dogs. Now I'm a dog owner. The hair, oh my lord. Anyway, we changed our bully to the Barf diet and she eats everyday. Twice a day. Now there is a question of protein overload. Is that a thing? If she's eating raw protein everyday twice a day, is that an issue?
@HouseofWrinkles2 жыл бұрын
No as long as it’s balanced with veggies it should be totally fine! Keep us updated on how’s she does. Good luck. Oh and I’m glad you came over to “ our side” the dog loving side 🥰

What would you recommend for a 9 week old bulldog?
@cjackson7493 жыл бұрын
How do you calculate how much to feed a puppy ? I hv a 13 week old English bulldog that is experiencing major food allergy symptoms. I hv found out that he’s allergic to beef (along with a lot of other stuff). Lol I’m going to try preparing his food at home with a recipe from a holistic vet. Can I do this with a food processor? I won’t be using any bones yet as he is so young. Love your channel !!!
@HouseofWrinkles3 жыл бұрын
8% of his current body weight For instance if he weights 20lbs, 8% of 20 is 1.6 therefore you would feed him about a pound and a half per day. If you break that up into 2 feedings a day that would be around 3/4 of a pound 2x a day. I hope this makes sense. Good luck with your fur baby. I hope you can find the perfect recipe for him ❤️

How much should I feed my 12 week old 13lb English bulldog puppy. I followed your recipe just want to make sure I’m giving the right amount
@HouseofWrinkles3 жыл бұрын
Sorry we are just now seeing this. He should be fed 8% of his ideal adult body weight. So example is if he should weight 50 lbs you would feed him 4lbs a day broke up into 2-3 meals
