Have a question, my bulldog is 6 months and i want to start getting him on the raw meet diet. Should I incorporate it with his normal dog food and slowly wing him off or would it be ok to just go straight to raw chicken 🍗 meat

You want to go slowly. Transition should take about 2 weeks. Adding a spoon full to his meals the day then slowly graduating up. Changing their diet to anything quickly can cause a very upset stomach. Good luck with the switch! Keep us updated. He will love it!!

Do you change Zoe’s diet before and/or after her puppies are born while she’s nursing? Love your videos!

Yes about a week before delivery she starts to get extra calories. If your feeding dry kibble that means adding puppy formula to the diet. If your feeding RAW that just simply means giving her more food throughout the day and/or higher fat content. This diet will continue throughout the whole nursing experience and maybe a little after to build up strength and stature. Thank you so much for watching!!

thank you for sharing so much helpful information. is the c-section standard for the English bulldog? I am breeding my shar pei for the first time. She is 3.5 years old, and a very healthy bone mouth type with good eyes, and the stud I've chosen is from a wonderful breeder that's health focused for the shar pei breed.

The c-section is standard for EB. I’m not sure about the shar pei. But my guess is that they could have a normal delivery. Good luck with your breeding ❤️. I’m glad we can help

The last 3-4 weeks you want to add puppy food to her diet. She will then eat puppy food the whole time she nurses.

Not necessarily. It depends on what temp you keep your house. Most ppl don’t keep their homes 85-90 degrees. English Bulldog moms can’t survive in the heat outside so mom and puppies need to be indoors.
