Yes! This happened with my Peperomia! I took a few cuttings from my, what I thought was, regular green plant. I placed the cuttings in a clear glass of water and placed them on a sunny window sill. All of the new growth leaves have incredible variegations on them! So, that gene must have been there all along!

Don’t use milk. It will rot and attract bugs. Use only products intended for plants.
