You sewing at the kitchen table made me tear up a bit. THAT is what a family table is made for: LIFE. All of it, in the middle of the room, the reason you want this beautiful kitchen, to live Life to it's fullest. Full of memories and laughter and time spent together. Amazing job MaCenna everything came together so beautifully! ❤👏💪

Your kitchen is absolutely stunning ! You and your team did a outstanding job. My husband is an award winning Architect in Michigan. He has a question ? Are you self taught on all your skills? Or did you go to school ? Or did your Dad teach you? You are truly amazing on what you know and how you can do everything. You’re also a amazing Mother. You can be very proud of all the things you’ve accomplished. Jojo

I think the “off center” center Ed in the room dining table was a blessing in disguise, it looks so much more naturally balanced with the styling! It actually looks even more elevated than if everything was 100% symmetrical because that would feel more modern. It doesn’t FEEL off centre, it feels deliberate and designed and high end and balanced. Well done!

Yes. French kitchens are often wonky. Moving the table created a family kitchen ready to make memories. Centered, it looked too much like a static kitchen showroom.

The brown material you used for the curtains would make such good cushion covers for your dining chairs. You could switch them out for the time when baby will be learning to eat and that fabric would be more forgiving than the white. The space turned out beautiful, good job!

Anyone who is a parent here knows babies are unpredictable. So I have all the patience in the world to wait for McCenna to post. Also, I find it extremely respectful of her that she let us know yesterday that she was going to be late and what she was going through. You're doing just fine. McCenna.❤️🌺😀

I've got 3 kids under 3 (the older 2 are 10 months apart) and run my own Etsy store. I treat my business just like any other job and follow through on my promises to customers. If she doesn't have a video edited and ready to go by the time she says it will be, then she needs to work on her time management and create a posting and editing schedule that actually works for her. Editing and filming the day of/before she promises to be posting clearly isn't working for her (and this was way before Cade was here) We can all understand a late upload every once in a while, but at this point it's really disrespectful to her viewers

I've watched your videos for so long but I don't think I've ever commented - I am sitting here crying during the reveal! To think that at the start of this, you were a family of two, to the end and being a family of three is crazy! ❤️ The kitchen is so beautiful and so "you", and it has been an absolute pleasure to watch you pour yourself into this project and make a dream a reality. I recently redesigned my own kitchen on a much smaller scale, and even that felt surreal as I watched my contractor turn my ideas on paper into a tangible thing...so I can't begin to imagine how you're feeling now. You should be SO proud. ❤️

Outrageously beautiful kitchen! We solved a similar problem with an off-set light by turning the table on a diagonal but I love your solution! Also when Cade is in a high chair you might want to consider cutting a clear shower curtain to fit underneath to catch everything he will drop. Ruggables are wonderful but it's a bigger job to move chairs and pads etc to clean. The shower curtain isn't the most attractive but it's temporary and easy to pick up and clean off and tuck away when meals are finished.

Congratulations!!!! New mama, new kitchen and I love that you have a beautiful French cookbook called Maman! Such a perfect start to your lives as parents, I can envision Cade doing his schoolwork at that gorgeous table while daddy cooks and mama brainstorms another business idea or project! Cherish and enjoy all of those moments as they fly by, those memories are what sustains us (and our children) as they leave home to start their own journeys! My baby is 21 and during one of our mama/son chats recently, he said that he finds it so sad that so many of the people he meets never had those family moments 😢 For many of his childhood friends, our home was the scene of those moments for them, and from a woman who struggled with infertility and didn’t become a mom until I was 38, the fact that I was Mama Fox to all of them is a blessing I am grateful for!

Yep that blue color on the hood on video looks like bright white, like a flat unfinished wall! Also the dishwasher looks pretty bad. And Chandelier hanging not in the center of the table is strange. But I do like everything else.

STUNNING, STUNNING!! It is so warm, so cozy, yet so grand. MaCenna, I have to thank you - over the last 2 years (my first of home-ownership) you have inspired me to take on project after project, and over the past 2 weeks I built a cabinet base from scratch for our bathroom remodel, largely following your videos about it. My husband was stunned; "You built FURNITURE!" I told him I had gotten the courage from you, and it's true. Thank you for being such a great example :) :)

This is a stunning makeover! With the off-center chandelier, I find that the branches make it very busy and they are unnecessary. Just this beautiful old vase and things that you styled together with it make a good enough accent, and it's pretty.

Been following you for years but feel even more connected to this project. We had our first son (also named Cade!) 2.5 years ago and also did a kitchen reno when we were expecting. We were washing baby bottles in bathroom sinks and cooking postpartum meals off hot plates 🤣 2.5 years later, watching Cade help cook from his toddler stool and now having our second's bottles drying in the finished kitchen, I can say all the stress was worth it. You're making a beautiful life for your family.

You created a beautiful family space both multi functional and usefulness combined for your lifetime of growing your family here. Socially this space will naturally become a gathering spot for everyone in your lives. All the blood sweat and tears put into every single fixture of it has meaning to you. Great job MaCenna you have done it again, as expected it is pure excellence now. Wonderful, now comes the fun part, living in it with the man of your dreams and the baby the love created. ❤❤❤

As an interior designer who has overseen the tiniest details of this with such precision I must admit I’m surprised that you didn’t realise how close the dishwasher would be to the table. Or that you didn’t like the light there.

I think she did talk about it in an earlier video when she deciding where to put the light and whether it would feel too close. If I remember, I think she said she knew it fit, but wasn't sure how comfortable it would feel. And she knew she might need to make adjustments. But I don't think she had an actual table at that point.

Very impressed. You can be proud!! Some thoughts: - Stripes cafe curtains could be nice and french vibey as well! And a bit less 'feminine' - As a person that lives to cook, the decorations on the counter tops seem very impractical. Maybe place cute but usable utensils etc? - Maybe a fabric light (seems oldschool) of Tiffany light is fitting above the sink?

@@darlenemchenry1104 the texture she did on the Texas hood ???? using maybe a color that is in the countertops? It must look good in person because you know it would be bothering her too lol - Hang a beautiful wreath on it during the holidays? I wonder if she just painted it a color that is in the countertops? I don't know - Because of the tuscan feel I think the texture would look great - again not my kitchen lol - I did think of something else too having a pass through counter at the kitchen window I had one for years and it was great when you had outdoor get togethers for food and cleanup - not having to go to the doors all the time - I used to yell ORDER UP every time lol - makes it so much easier whether grilling or cooking inside to bring things out =) Well that was a rant LOL

@XO, MaCenna What a lovely kitchen you've created for your family! I want to give you a word of CAUTION: In high school, I used to work in an antique shop and they specialized in lighting fixtures. On my first day on the job, I was told that one should never, ever use a window or glass cleaner on crystals or any part of a chandelier or vintage light. The chemicals in products like Windex are very hard on crystals and cut glass. Not all vintage crystals and baubles are made of the same material, so it's best to be on the safe side. I cleaned more crystals from chandeliers than I care to mention, but I could do three layer tiers in half an hour. And, you have to take them off, clean them, and put them back on. We used a 60/40 solution of white vinegar and water. Filtered or distilled water is recommended. If any spots remain after air drying, increase your vinegar-to-water ratio. By the way, I love your toile curtains so much! I thought the blue looked good until you brought out the brown, and wow! Also, if the switch plates bother you that much you could do one of these options: cover the switchplates with your toile fabric using matte Mod Podge, or get some paintable wallpaper and paint it your wall color. You can also use Rub n Buff in your desired color. Very lightly sand the switchplate and the switch or rocker, and apply the Rub n Buff. I've done this in my bedroom, and it works! If I were doing it for a bathroom or kitchen I would spray a clear topcoat over it for easy cleaning. Sorry for the long comment!
