I admire them a lot, today if you dress up, you are asked “ where are you going all dolled up?” You are expected to wear joggers and trainers, except fo communion and weddings.

Now it’s just the same crisis with Brazilians...also aside from the priests and convents overcrowding rooms lead to sexual abuse in families that’s still v strong today it went through the family’s father with daughter and brothers touching sisters

Mm I remember in the mid 60s to alleviate Ath Cliaths housing issues, they went and built Ballymun (done by a consortium of Cubitt- Haden-Sisk (CHS)), as shown here. And the towers were named after 1916 men. More recently, realising the problems with those, they then went and demolished most or all if them.

“Not much has changed?” Ireland and other European countries now feel the need to import thousands of immigrants to support the workforce. Something was wrong then and is still wrong today.

If they looked after their own people they would not continue to be forced to emigrate . Affordable housing is a basic human right that housing authorities must provide for the working class population without the financial means to purchase a home of their own. What are people to all do otherwise and where are they going to end up ?
@Crismans8432 жыл бұрын
@@paulcunningham9081 There’s no such thing as a “basic human right”.

@@Crismans843 well right now we have 100,000 Ukrainian refugees coming here who will be all accommodated immediately while they continue to leave Irish homeless people sleeping in doorways and in tents and dying on our streets ? These homeless Ukrainians who do not even have any links or ties to this country all have human rights where our own native people do not ?
