They will spend money to help those that are homeless, but not lobby the Feds to change the tax code to do anything about the fact that people with less $100,000 in wealth are 1 injury or job loss from being homeless (again).

Not a whole lot the tax code can do for this - people just have to spend less on unimportant stuff and save.

They are not helping. They are just pushing them outward and closing them out of the places where they were doing well.

The homeless need food, shelter and medical care in order to rebuild their lives. Hopefully, they will be active participants in assuming responsibility for their situation, and ending the causes of their homelessness. For the majority, homelessness is the result of other problems, not just rent that is unaffordable for local wages.

To who the decedents of slavery, the Mexicans for losing Texas for HELPING the Slaves (the real reason to remember the Alamo) ? The Irish (who at this time along with Italians who where not considered white until around the 1970’s) for coming down during the Texas war. Some of who where considered traitors to the US but had their reasons for switching sides and fighting along side the Mexicans., who gets reparations and why? This is a serious question and a valid one if you know your Texas history and last why? Why is anyone entitled to reparations I just named 3 groups of people affected by the same reasons at the same exact time in the same state
