We stopped in front of a house and when Katie started talking about Chocolate the dog, that they had spayed and returned to the family, a light-bulb went on, well 2 of them.
This was the house of a dog that I photographed under a pick-up truck last December when we were in Houston. She was too shy to come out then, but now she was happy to visit with us. In another moment I realized that we were at the same spot where we came with Forgotten Dogs of the Fifth Ward to feed Mr. Woolsworth! It became very familiar when the toddler puppies came running out to say hello. So we were back at the house of a family who seems to have too many dogs to handle.
The first step was to retrieve the brand new puppies which were laying in a pile underneath a dog house in the yard. There were 5 tiny puppies that Katie skillfully removed. They were only a few weeks old at best. When Anna realized that the puppies didn’t have teeth yet, she knew that they had to find their mama and take her with them as they were still nursing. The problem was that she had not come out to greet us and we couldn’t find her. In the meantime the toddler puppies were providing entertainment for all!

This is so sad. Dogs love us no matter how bad we treat them but some humans still decide to do this to them. If you can't properly take care of an animal you shouldn't get one. People that help these animals deserve an award. Thanks for helping!😊

When I was a kid I had a dog his name was also Chocolate. He lived a very long and happy life. I live alone now and would love to have a pet but my lease doesn't allow it. It's such a shame all these beautiful dogs living on the streets and people abusing them. They are so noble and provide such good companionship and unconditional love. Really breaks my heart to see these animals suffer. I would love to have any of these dogs in my home. I really want to have a pet.

Thank God that there are people like you who are able to do this, and have the heart to get out there. I think that these people were doing the best they could for the dogs. They weren't hurting them, they just couldn't afford to meet all they're needs. Better that they were under a dog house, than being beaten and abused on the streets. Keep up the great work!

I have 10 dogs 6 of them me and my siblings rescued and the other 4 we adopted from SPCA and I would love to help we also train our dogs once we were fishing and our great Dane Lola got attacked by a crocodile and I had to take one of the fishing rods to make the crocodile go away and we had to take Lola to the vet and she had a bite mark (a bad one) but she is fine now and now all 10 dogs are trained wow it feels good to get that out

Very cool of you to offer free services I like that you gave them a choice and that they see you as a helping hand and not threat . There are a lot of homeless pets out there and overfilled shelters who eventually have to put people's unwanted pets down at least you gave them a choice and a resolve contain the pets they are keeping so that it doesn't become more of a issue later it's working with the current situation and creating a solution.

Those cries from the pups are so heartbreaking. I have two dogs that were abused by a different owner so animal rescuers came and got them but I got one like in 2015 I believe and the other one in 2016 I think I don’t know but they have lived a wonderful life and are still living just watch our videos and they might be in one
