Houston ISD holds first board meeting after Board of Managers were appointed following TEA takeover

LIVE LOOK: A broad coalition of organizations and residents held a news conference and protest in response to the first meeting of the unelected HISD Board of Managers.
The press conference took place outside HISD Headquarters and includes a wide array of local teachers, students, parents, and advocates for public schools and children fighting against the occupation of Houston Public Schools by partisan state officials.
