I think you should’ve also drove further north up to the acres homes neighborhood bordered by West Tidwell, Antoine, Gulf Bank, and Wheatley. The locals call it the 44 in reference to the Metro bus route #44 that passes through the neighborhood. I will admit 5th ward is probably close to as bad as acres homes.

I grew up in north central 5th ward/ hardy went to Jeff Davis acres home is just hyped up by people really not like the 5th or n central that’s where the real been for 50 years plus acres home only been mentioned in the last 15 years or so

@@roba526 , probably, I know Acres Homes has been deteriorating the past 10-15 years, it didn’t used to be that bad there, I do agree that 5th ward is bad and was a lot worse in the 80s and 90s compared to now.

As long as he’s drives through these neighborhoods once he’ll be ok. There are regular people in these hoods so no one is going to blast at him just for riding by. It’s when dudes start seeing the same car 2 or 3 times that they get suspicious.

I lived in Kelly village 7 years moved there from pasadena since my single mother couldn’t afford rising rent so we got housing. Went to Bruce elementary then to Mickey Leland prep. Just last year my family graduated and we moved out we made it out and bought a house in the Klein district.

In most Texas cities, the West and Southside is the worst. I guess because Houston is close to the coast, most hoods are on the north side of the city. Land down south probably creeps up as you get more towards the coast. At least thats what Im seein.
