Stroud’s safety blanket last season was NOAH BROWN, it was not his Tight End (soft Dalton Schultz). They should’ve kept Brown and let Schultz walk. Schultz will not go out of his way to catch anything that’s not perfectly thrown, and Noah Brown was able to constantly get open downfield.

Stroud has always reminded me of Andrew Luck lite. Similar motion, similar skill set, but just not as big or able to operate with out everything being perfect. He is a guy who needs to have the table set up front, he can counteract the rush with his legs or his mind (yet). He will definitely get there, but he needs time. It's not a hit, Goff and others need that same set up to unlock their ability. He also needed this to get realigned. He definitely acted like he made it this off season. He hasn't. He will adjust b/c he's a super talented bright guy.

Texans o-line is awful. CJ Stroud is getting rocked, his eyes looked shellshocked on the sideline, has happy feet in the pocket, is missing throws he normally makes, and he looks like he is losing his confidence. They do not make adjustments at halftime, they have 3 TD's on the year in the second half. Bobby Slowic is becoming a liability at OC. They are running the risk of turning Stroud into David Carr.
@mykofreder1682
@mykofreder1682 21 күн бұрын
Their defense does give up 20 points to almost everyone, they have been scoring 20+ points and win, missing players and were not good offensively. Their scoring is consistent but I don't think they are a shootout team unless the other defense plays poorly. It is clear they have no chance of beating KC in the payoffs or a Ravens that put 30+ on the scoreboard.

Basically the Texans are the 49ers. The 49ers just had everyone implode earlier in the year. Aiuk has looked like crap since he held out. The entire Oline is trash. Even Trent this year. Deebo hasn't played like Deebo consistently since he signed his contract. CMC is out. The defense missing key people. Same with the Texans. The Oline looks so bad on pass plays. They look good on run plays. The recievers are all busted up. The defense missing key pieces. I look at the 2 QBs, Purdy and CJ and I personally think they are dead even. CJ can throw the ball better. Purdy is more accurate with short and intermediate throws while CJ has a beautiful deep ball. Purdy processing is slightly better than CJ, he throws with more anticipation. The teams Oline is built the same and its all because of Shanahans beliefs that when getting players for it they want run blockers first and pass blockers second. They could care less about pass blocking it seems. Both Olines are among the best at run blocking and the worst at pass blocking. Too many free runners.

@@Richard-gw2lr Well said. Kittle said he looked around in the huddle and everyone was gone. All subs and practice squad. Deebo, JJ, BA, CMC, OL, all missed games. Losing Dre G. on defense is huge. Mac Jones as a rookie QB took a team we all know in hindsight to be bad to the playoff and went to the Pro Bowl. There wasn't hype, certainly not in the same ballpark as that which has been the case with CJ. What explains the difference / such hype (of winning the SB and MVP) with CJ? He's black; the craving and resultant hype around a successful black QB is out of this world. This comment isn't about right or wrong, just calling a spade a spade.
