In a significant development, the sustained attack by Houthi fighters in Yemen and militias in Iraq have forced a key Israeli port to face bankruptcy. This was revealed after the CEO of Israel’s Eilat port, Gideon Golber, sought urgent bail out package from the Israeli government.
Rifat Jawaid says that Antony Blinken’s recent statement on Houthis and Iran at an event organised by the Brookings Institution also showed that the Americans desperately wanted an end to the conflict.
