I moved from Houston to NYC in 99 and no one would take my recommendations on listening to UGK or even the Geto Boys. They knew Mind Playing Tricks and that's it. It took Big Pimpin to really opened up their eyes to Texas. That track slowly but surely changed the game for UGK and a lot of Southern artists in general. Big ups to Bun B for seeing the potential and encouraging Pimp C to take part.

Man whatever they should’ve asked about Beyoncé there lies a real issue! That makaveli lane gets likes and views and is most likely true. But there is a tape that’s at the root of this too. Pure speculation but very believable. Also the j. Prince dame dash orb gotti situation 🤔🤔🤔 I fk with Bun but he NEVER talks about this and no one ever asks him….

I was a fan before they was on big pimpin. I'm from DC and I rocked ugk because they was on different shit. Dc dudes never wanted to be anything like new York dudes so we listened to all the other music that wasn't from NYC and NYC stuff also. Big az fan lyrics he was nice like top tier nice.
