I bought some of the 1 inch flash J's for ultralight fishing. Oh boy they are a ton of fun, you catch multi species all day long. I even caught a 2.5lb large mouth on 6lb braid to 4lb fluorocarbon.

Soft plastic technology has a come a long way. These baits will catch them when the pressure is high.

Can you recommend another more budget friendly rod?

The Daiwa Rebellion 7'1 Medium Light works great for this technique. The line is the most critical part of this technique!

My Orochi Whipsnake is perfect for hover strolling

Having a soft tip really helps when casting and slight movements of the bait. Whipsnake is good!

They are expensive. But if you can get your hands on one, you will love it!

Can this technique be employed using BFS gear?
@JapanImportTackle Жыл бұрын
If your gear is dialed in Yes. We find it easier with spinning though.

Maybe just lighten the drag… don’t change the line… 😅
@JapanImportTackle8 ай бұрын
The lighter the line the easier it gets to cast the smaller baits. If you line is too heavy you bait won't perform like you really want it to. Not to mention it will make it sink faster which you don't want either.
