There is a HUGE difference between ludilue and mezino. I'll spare the details, but simply put, ludilue plays harbor like a radiant, and mezino plays harbor like a pro.

I love playing harbour on Abyss and Breeze. He can cut large sites in half and block off a ton of potential angles. He’s only really bad because he can only smoke near him, compared to meta smokes who can cover a larger area of the map. You play him with a Astra, clove or Omen and he is actually really good.

The Omen smoke on Heaven A prevents edge peeks out from the wall. Even if you have the Harbor wall all the way on the edge, enemies can noncommitally step out with a blind for a pick; the wall doesn't blind them.

my premire team runs a similar comp the reason for the double smoke heaven is because even if you get your harbor wall heaven pixel perfect because the wall is just a straight line and it doesnt stick out past where it is placed they can still peak through the wall we do the same double smoke just so we clear out that possiblity Edit: or maybe im wrong and they do it for different reasons but thats the reason we do it

Harbors wall isn't enough for heaven as well, enemies can get a timing to peak through it since it doesn't do damage or a dome smoke (at least on A), as well as he kinda just can smoke heaven to have the high tide get to CT.

25:54 the only thing I can think of it's maybe to create a question mark as omen could tped behind-in the smoke holding the angle? That way, defenders wouldn't feel so comfortable pushing heaven's edge and be able to have too much space to retake from. IDK about you guys, but everytime I bring harbor, specifically to abyss, I get some random kamikaze enemies with shotguns trying to prevent me from smoking-planting, and all the time they spawn from heaven. The other reason I can think of, it's maybe to create another question mark as an unorthodox way to smoke??? Maybe that way, enemies won't try to get even near heaven and have to come from B stairs and backsite A in order to fight for site (when attacking). Maybe the scenario attackers want because that way they can isolate the site and force the enemies into walking in 2 or 1 possible ways, towards attackers line sight and crossfire. Honestly Harbor is stronger than people think, his ability is very flexible. Maybe he doesn't have stalling power but in terms of vision denial his walls is good. However, the skye nerf is bad for him as teams needs more initiators now. Before, skye is a very reliable flasher and info gatherer, now with his flash no longer regenerates her ability as initiator isn't as reliable.

His cascade needs to be a 2 second old Gekko flash. Buff the cove to stay up after it breaks and then make it so it doesn’t slow teammates. And then maybe make his ability durations an extra 5 seconds. Like I’m really on board with making the cascade a wave of water that obscures your screen like you just got hit by an ocean wave.

the reason why Harbor isn't played as much is because he's too powerful and too vital to lose, and in competitive most Harbor players don't really know where and WHEN to smoke so it's gonna suck. So if people pick Harbor, they end up saying "This Harbor's gonna troll" or "dammit 4v6" stuff. also, Harbor utility SLOWS BOTH TEAMMATES AND ENEMIES, which would suck even more. If you're playing a beginner friendly controller, Clove would be the best one so far. the only friendly smoke he has for beginner users is the shield :(
