Chad, this is amazing. Can I ask, what do you do to deal with the core material looking different than the veneer after machining the backs? Probably a rookie question.

Hey Lee, thanks for the comment! For machining the horizontal shiplap and vertical groove backs, this is probably best suited for paint grade MDF. I suppose a veneer grade could be used, with a downshear bit. Are you trying to do a stain grade veneer, or paint grade?

@@LeeEckl I hear that! I would typically recommend an 1/8” downshear bit. The thing about a stain grade veneer, is you could probably see the patterns crossing over the grooving. As long as you have the expectations set however , you could do it!

Absolutely. Just like all things Mozaik. I find I switch back and forth, usually using metric for width and depth settings!
