Mindflayer: the perk that relies the most on player skill to get good results. If you can manage to grab the most dangerous scavs (Aks, shotgunners, snipers, sledgehammers, etc) you can mop up the enemies with ease. Of course, the issue is you have to get them and not some random dream scav, which can be easier said than done. Personally, having a Crosslink or Hive on your team is your best friend, giving you the damage and stun needed to get only the very best minions for your cause.

If you think about it,with them unfeeling and kinda half dead, their bodies are forced in a state of adrenaline,making them use every ounce of strength they have(even a woman is capable of lifting a car under these circumstances) so they hit harder,harder than they've hit before. Tldr,fight or flight adrenaline is insane.

As you play this game long enough you learn that you can rush in at the enemy and parry for every single perk. Atleast for the first few nights to like night 5 if you get lucky with npc spawns. Frontliners - parry, kill, get buff Backliner - use ability to stun or pick off one enemy and throw hands

Well actually both sledgehammer scav and skinner have same recover time (the m1 full combo is depends on your weapon/trait/perk) So basically skinner is just tankier, unshoveable version of sledgehammer scav

I dont remember them doing that (mindkilled npcs), probably because the spiders blast their skull open before the wave defense part of the night starts causing me to think they just despawn. This is a very usefull piece of info since you can mindkill something like an AK scav when the storm approaches!

sec fav vidm i like mindflayer bc they are an easy perk to use

u can skip using throwing knives if u just use a bow, gets the job done u can try to "choose" which scav gets mindkilled by damaging ones u want to infect and killing the u dont want to get mindkilled traps are ur allies, but also ur enemies (since debuff still remains on ur mindkilled scavs) punjis are great for free mind control since it only gives poison and slows them go for scavs that have a high attack rate as they deal twice the amount of damage done than normal (if ur scavenging, snipers are great to mindkilled)

As a mindflayer main i gotta try out throwing knives sometime, usually i just use ballistic my beloved because of the shove damage but i feel like it would be better for groups to have throwing knives so i didnt take damage. Would you recommend it?

Also funny tip, i typically use my surroundings to make friends easier. If you hear or see signs of scavs fighting (such as gunshots, a corpse next to a scav, or just actually seeing them fight) typically there will be a dead scav (free rations) and an alive, injured scav (free unpaid internship) perhaps a few even, this just helps me get rations and friends.

It's much more reliant (like Apostle) on a few stronk minions, such as ak or sledge scavs, to get the most out of it. But if you can manage to get all three on those deadly enemies...it's a thing of beauty. I'm more fond of Apostle myself for the self-heal and team deaths boosting you, but mindflayer aint bad either.
