I love guest characters in fighting games but I never want them to take priority over roster inclusion for original characters. Espeically for Granblue! Leave your thoughts on guest characters and lmk what characters you would love to see for Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising! Love you guys❤

I'm not too crazy about the idea of guest characters but 2B is admittely a very exciting one. But keep it to one guest character per season pass max IMO.

Ngl if any FF character got I’d want Ardyn from FF15 or Clive from FF16. Now for an anime character Ichigo would be cool or possibly a BlazBlue character.

@@SolessSol I played the Ardyn dlc for 15 which was amazing and Clive with each Eikon ability as a skill would be goated. Never played Blazblue nor know about the characters but id like to see representation

I wouldn't be surprised if 2B was the first and last guest with all the characters they have in the mobile game but based on the anime they have worked with Zoro is someone I think could be pretty cool with all the moves he has

The thing with 2B is a thing of crazyness and epicness to have new players try the game, with Tekken 8 we hope in term of guess character is adding characters that have a martial art and not having use powers like dropping projectiles or having jumps hard to punish (Geese)

I agree. I think Guest characters need to fit the feel of the game and I think Tekken 7 decided to take some risk. These risk though seemed to be ideas that they had planned for T8 tho so it seems everything is always planned lol. Geese was definitely a nightmare though from what I heard

I am an outsider looking in when it comes to the granblue mobile game and its collabs, so the prospect of guest characters after 2B's announcement excites me. Sticking with your franchise choices, I would go with: 1) Makoto or Yu from Persona 3/Persona 4 respectively 2) For FF, I would go with Lightning from FF13. But if keeping it with the hype of FFVII, I would go with Tifa, Yuffie or Zack 3) For anime, I think they could go with anything in their bag and I won't be mad 4) For FG rep, since Granblue is a game that has mostly people using swords and magic, I think it would be cool if we got a Blazblue rep as we haven't anything Blazblue related for fighting games since BBTAG back in 2018

Yeah I’m pretty new to it as well. I’m slow getting into the world of it while making content but your picks are pretty good! They have so much to choose from as the franchise I chose are just a few of who they’ve worked with and Nier shows that they can even form brand new partnerships for other IPs as well!

I want Keqing and Fischl from Genshin Inpact. Keqing would be a mix of the Wind Guy and Narmaya. I want her to make platforms to quickly teleport. Or if you hit the opponent through one of the platforms they crumble, maybe after image mixups Fischl be a mix of Metera with Zoey’s small dragon. I want Oz to spit out fire balls and lasers. I want Fiscal to free move around with the bird spamming fireballs and I want Fiscal to turn into a bird but only if the bird is off the screen. I mean I want her to have a automatic turnt on field but she loses movement options until the turnt is gone and when she uses her movement options it brings the turnt back. I want Squall from Final Fantasy 8. I just would rather see him

What’s funny is you forgot to mention Sephiroth is the “One Winged Angel” and GranBlue lore is suuuper focused on Angels. He’d fit right in with the other boss characters in Rising, I just wonder how they’d handle that long sword.

If I had to pick an anime crossover character Hear me out as much as the anime was shit the manga was good though I don’t know how it would work but Ken Keneki would make an interesting mid/long range character and manga keneki is still one my favorite mcs so to see him in a fighting game would be amazing

Nah no FFVII that's been used enough how about warrior of light he suits the actual timeline style of the game. I think adding too many guest characters takes away from the main cast and the game shining in it's own right. Tekken 7 abused this and lost it's way to DLC mania.

I would hate it if we got more than one guest per pass. There's so many popular and interesting GBF characters still not in the game. Siete's been in the story for YEARS and he's still not playable! The entire main cast besides Kat is not playable. SANDALPHON isn't playable and he's already in the storyline with a model and all. Versusia is all but confirmed but yeah, still no hard confirm (wish it was the Rein design tho). Throw in a "pass seller" if you will every year, but please, focus on the actual cast.

I agree! I think Guest should be limited to 1 or 2 at most for season passes depending on how big they are. The main character from the lore of GBF or any game should always be the main priority so I hope it definitely stays that way for Rising!
