It's the irony and a curse of two gemini friends, they can be best friends and then be two worst enemies. They both got shot 4x as if one bullet was for each persons character, they were both gangsters and at the same time they were both good, worm and loving persons. They were together like yin and yang, a mirrors of each others. It's just funny how stars align sometimes.

To be fair, two of them poor decisions that ended their lives. Tupac was acting all out and trying to fight everyone as soon as he signed up with Death Row. People keep bringing up how he mature and professional during that interview when he was 17, but he didn't show that wisdom at all during his death row days. Yeah it's understandble he was angry, but he was fighting guys who didn't have anything to do with him. And it's funny how he was dissing New York rappers, yet his butt was not only from New York, but he was dissing family members who were still there. Biggie was stubborn and arrogant for even going to the West Coast despite all of the warnings and death threats he recieved. He could've literally picked any other area in the US or even overseas to film Hypnotize. Takeoff was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

@@hsthatzo8063 The golden age of rap was Rakim, BDK, CL Smooth, Kool G, etc.. The east coast/west coast situation was awful for hip-hop. It was a beef created by media because they knew how sensitive rappers were in those days about their thug image. It was good for marketing, not good for hip hop because we lost two very important people in hip-hop. Literally every rapper agrees that it was a bad time for hip hop. The great songs we received were not a result of the east/west issue, it was a result of great artistry which STILL happens today, you just have to know what to listen to

Weird thing is that it seems like these 2 brothers never existed. Almost like a fictional story. Decades of music and incidents packed into less than 5 years. Despite their success there still remains the "what if" because we lost them so young. We can only imagine what would have become of Tupac Shakur and Christopher Wallace. Greed, jealousy and ego is a mf and as time has gone by those things only has gotten worse. And the saddest thing about that is it will never end.

@@MaruTheGreatYeah, couldn’t deny that Puff and Suge were likely making a lot of money from the East Coast v. West Coast beef. Plus, they seemed to genuinely hate each other and would even ruin any opportunity there was to stop the fighting. I don’t think Puff was involved with Pac getting shot or killed, but he was definitely taking advantage of the situation. Same with Suge, he witnessed Pac’s murder yet kept the identity of the shooter hidden. Likely because, “Tupac get’s killed by gangster”, isn’t as sensational as, “Could Biggie Smalls have been involved in Tupac Shakur’s murder?”. He likely just took advantage of Pac’s death to further the West Coast v. East Coast beef, and make money while doing it. Thank you so much for putting together this really clear and organized doc! I was obsessed with hip-hop as a teenager in the early ‘00s. And I had only known about the Biggie-Pac beef from context clues in song lyrics. (And of course, I sure as hell wasn’t gonna ask anyone back then. 😆 That would make me look like I didn’t already know.) I’m a Southern Californian and I cannot in good conscience side with 2Pac. Biggie certainly played his part in all this, but he was more level-headed, the way I see it.

I agree that Biggie was a little bit more cautious and self aware, while 2Pac was pure raw emotion and at times it got the best of him and put him in a few problems he could have avoided. They both died in the end, but Pac was asking for trouble all the time; a colder head may have saved his life

Big didn't want pac hurt, cause from his pov, they were still friends. He understood what pac was going through once he got robbed, thrown in jail then having ppl that's supposed to have his back gassin him up? Anyone would be confused, let alone being in that environment. And the worst part? Big couldn't even explain this shit or he'd be dry snitching then it would be him that'd have that heat on him. Such a shame man. Rip biggie and pac 🙏

I'm not going to lie, growing up with them this era in music and them being such amazing artists and influential people, it was heartbreaking because back then it wasn't really understood and living now to see that it is still going on at such a rapid pace, is sad...back then we didn't have social media and all that, so imagine how sad to see that things have not changed.Their beef was more so other people and not necessarily them.

Tupac is my personal G.O.A.T of Hip-Hip!! No one will ever reach him! NO ONE. Your Legacy is untouchable! I still think, but thats my own personal opinion, Suge Knight put the hit on him. Why? I really dont know.. It was never Biggie!! They were friends not enemies. The fact that he went to LA six months later and speak there, to clean it all up. That fact alone says it all!! R.I.P PAC AND BIGGIE. I miss booth of yoo❤❤❤ Thanks for the amazing good research, all the material and the work you put in this documentary. Really a good one!!

I was born the year he died 🤦🏾‍♂️ but I was still raised on his music and biggie and all the 90s rap that I wasn’t born in. I was lucky that my dad was a DJ and had ALOT of cassette tapes & CDs like 5 huge bags of music of every Hip Hop/Rap, R&B/Blues & Pop artist in the 80s & 90s still does til this day and I’ve been into music every since age 4, so one day I see myself making music or producing music 🙏🏾
