Possibly an unpopular opinion but I feel like 5G isn't that big of a step up from 4G LTE. I'd rather see Verizon, At&t, and TMobile spent the money increasing coverage and load capacity than trying to convince me to get a new phone for slightly faster download speeds in a small enclosed area.

None of this is exclusive to 5G and all misleading marketing. Why 5G is important is because it increases the device density per node from 2,000 connected devices to 1 million devices in a 0.38 square mile (or one square kilometer) range. The connection speed is faster but extremely shorter range (i.e. a distance of 1ft will lower your speed). It's essentially a highly directional large WiFi (1km) that is nearly defeated by walls. 5G has such limits that its a novelty and not worth paying for the upgrade (now).

Wow. There really isn’t a true 5G connection to be had. The smaller the wave, the less distance it can go. A large wave cab go anywhere, but 5G, which uses radio waves, uses tiny waves, that cannot go through anything (whereas W-FI does), and it’s distance is severely limited. It also doesn’t function in rain or fog. The real crux of it is that for this to work, 5G has to be within a very short distance and direct line-of-site to whoever wants to connect to it for use. This is the real 5G. Don’t sell a product you cannot put your trust in.

I’ve worked in the telecoms industry and 5G nationwide isn’t true 5G as you’ve said in the video. 5G ultra wide will only ever be used in stadiums, airports, etc becuase the frequency doesn’t penetrate buildings and walls well. 5G ultra wide is very limited in its range. it’s also costly to implement and obviously a 5G phone is needed. Think of it like a super fast wifi that can go a bit further and handle more concurrent connections
