I love how they came together as a community to worship and fellowship with one another. That's what's missing in the US right now. I hope they were able to reach their goal. God bless them! ❤❤❤

That's one thing I think a lot of people who want to migrate to the United States don't realize... in most places there's no sense of community whatsoever.

You should try banana leaf tamales, common in south mexico, 2 versions, colado and torteado, colado is soft like sponge cake And torteado is firm I prefer the consistency of torteado

Wouldn’t the plastic bags holding the tamales in the metal barrels melt when the fire is lit under them?
@igiveupfine
@igiveupfine Жыл бұрын
you've heard of the trick where you can put a closed water bottle in a fire and the bottle wont melt, right? because the water inside can't get above the boiling point? the pressure helps keep it below 212F. i'm guessing something about the evaporating water, the steam, helps keep the bag around that temp.

the tamale you mean. that is so the corn paste with the bean paste in the center, the masa, steams and becomes cooked. at home it's just steamed in a pot with a lid.

What a beautiful society. I love all races but I see no benefit to mixing them all together. Look at America with all of its hate and violence on every side along with mental illness. We need to be with those with the same heritage where a name means something.

Just the usa, england & 2 or 3 caribbean tiny islands still use the pound system. Metric is all over the world. Kg, kms, lits...etc. Would no be a bad idea to have an idea what the metric system is.

It’s a community event in a small town. The people cooking are most likely someone’s grandma, grandpa, father etc. Also everything has been cooked to high temperatures. If you are going to be afraid of the next person sneezing next to you, then you are better off staying home forever.

Actually it is, gloves can be troublesome as even the thin one can reduce sensitivity. The steam process is hot enough to kill bacteria.
