That title of the song “Yokai” isn’t pronounced Yo-Kay. The actual pronunciation is Yo-Ki, with a hard “i”. It’s a class of spirit within Japanese folklore that can range from Malevolent, Mischievous, and Benevolent intent. Though many westerners that only vaguely know of the concept of the Yokai usually misinterpret the word using it interchangeably with the Demon. Despite them not being demons at all, even by western standards. Which was obviously 6ix9ine’s intent for using the word, using it to mean demon rather that just coming out and saying it.

Not gonna lie, I kinda miss Ross making videos with a comedic tone. Don’t get me wrong, his documentaries about Drill and the Gang beefs that intertwined within music are high quality and great, and he treats those subjects with the respect they deserve since they’re about real people really out here killing each other. He seems to have genuine concern for the people involved and that are affected by these Gang Wars he covers. At the same time, I do really miss his comedy in the scripts, hence why I always comeback to his 6ix9ine Clout Chronicles because they’re genuine funny. I think Ross should take a little break from all the extremely negative aspects of the culture and do a few videos covering some of the more ridiculously absurd events and beefs in hip-hop that didn’t culminate into late-teens/early 20’s men killing each other. I mean, it can’t be all that great for his mental health to spend month after month wading through depressing subject after depressing subject, victim after victim, shooting after shooting and making them into videos that are as long as two feature films. That’s gotta take it’s toll on person to some degree.
