Well. This was a really special story and a kind of special time. Thank you so much for this. My partner and I were down a Fleetwood Mac hole as I explained the drama and history of that band - because of drum sounds of all things! LL Cool J introduced a performance and I spoke about his relevance to Damon John and the FUBU story. I'd watched The Bear the week before where Sabotage is used as an iconic theme from the pilot across the seasons. Didn't realize the Rick Rubin origin (we know where he ends up!) nor the LL Cool J origin. It's so funny with the culture wars stuff that's the zeitgeist of 2024. The lineage of good music, hip-hop etc. the stuff that went on to last was agnostic. A bunch of cool people helping each other do cool shit as a community. There's a lot that can be taken from that and it's a lovely thing to be reminded of. Thank you for taking me on the journey!
