@randomguy.kiduwa
@randomguy.kiduwa 2 жыл бұрын
@@l1ll4rd48 I know but he was pretty much unguardable or real hard to guard as you have to start guarding him once he passes half court which is really tiring and tough as if he gets a single screen off he gets loose and shoots his shot which he is unguardable when he releases that ball.
@l1ll4rd48
@l1ll4rd48 2 жыл бұрын
@@randomguy.kiduwaAthletes are built to start guarding at half, they have the stamina and they definitely don’t start guarding them there, have you watched a Steph game? It’s a lot more complicated than that and curry is definitely guard-able, Mathew Delladova locked him up in the 2016 finals. But let’s assume Curry is completely unguardable, even if he’s the best scorer in HISTORY, you still can’t be top ten, you need defence it’s 50% of the game! To put it simply. Steph is top ten in OFFENCE and not even top 100 in DEFENCE, so how can he be top ten overall?
@randomguy.kiduwa
@randomguy.kiduwa 2 жыл бұрын
@@l1ll4rd48 Man I never said he was top 10 or anything like that. If you were reading what I said I said he pretty much is unguardable since he can shoot from anywhere as so is he top 10? Depends on opinions and how much he made an impact on the NBA. I know defense is big as in real life I am a defensive player but to see it as Steph didn't change the game or isn't top 10 is crazy but I still will respect your opinion if you think steph isn't top 10.

If the Bucks trade actually included Steph and we had a team with Steph + Giannis, it would be one of the scariest teams in the NBA not just because of their talent, but more importantly because of the mental toughness displayed by these two stars. Steph and Giannis were both underdogs who have an insane work ethic. Both are extremely humble, and Steph is probably one of the best teammates in NBA history. In addition, I believe their skills would complement each other really well. With Steph's shooting prowess paired with Giannis' drives to the basket, the Bucks would be unstoppable.

Steph is a game changer he has dominated the game for his team and brought his team to where it is today he is a one man wrecking machine
@TedoMD
@TedoMD 2 жыл бұрын
The answer is simple. He didn't conform to the standards of the era, choosing to perfect his shooting, thus allowing him to shoot from any range, providing him a niche skill that had long since been held in regard to 3-ball shooters like Ray Allen, Dale Ellis, Peja Stojakovic, Reggie Miller, etc., without the size advantage of a Dirk Nowitzki or a Kevin Durant. And unlike most of the other players, he's a point guard, who handles that ball like Steve Nash, but took way more shots than Nash, who tend to pass the ball instead. As such, Steph made a name for himself because he made plays by not attacking the rim, but by becoming so accurate from everywhere. Then, once you had to commit to defending him from afar, did he make you miss by driving past you and putting up a drop shot. Simply, he adapted and made defenders look silly for giving him space.

Actually it got worse when the warriors kept curry instead of training him. All I remember from that era is a tweet by Steph saying "we'll make this work. I promise" Years later, the scrawny kid from Davidson who according to analysts should have been a 2nd rnd pick as a role player became the greatest shooter, greatest gravity, part of the greatest backcourt duo ever, part of the best team ever, part of the greatest team ever, led a dynasty, had the greatest efficient season ever, and now a top 7 player all time and SO CLOSE to becoming the greatest PG ever (he's statistically the most skilled)

It's not just about the play after all, Steph is the best possible teammate, humble, loyal, selfless and most importantly a great leader who can lead his team to greatness. He doesn't need to keep switching teams to win chips, he will fight with his current team, and no matter how hard it is, he perseveres. No moaning or bitching about them holding him back. Just straight up hardwork and that insane determination. I still remember his eyes on court last year when GSW got eliminated. You could have literally seen his insane will in those eyes. good overall career scan but you missed what IMHO are the three key "background" supports for his meteoric rise: a fierce, cross training regimen that developed insane hand-eye skills, dribbling excellence, and unreal cardio endurance, superb nutrition program to build that frame up with solid weights, and insane devotion to improving his game in every detail. just ask some of the sportsguys and folks around Oracle from those years 2-5==he built himself a powerhouse, sleek frame to carry him to greatness.

Curry is definitely a top 10 all-time great. Personally on my list I put Bill Russell down to #11, Curry to #9 and move Larry Bird to #10. I'd love to see Steph get that 5th championship, it would put him on that next tier of GOATs above Shaq and amongst Magic, Duncan and Kobe. I think it's important to get that 5th championship for best PG of all-time debates with Magic. With one more championship (and the Finals MVP would help a lot) I think Curry has a legit case to be over Magic or at the very least on his level. Such an amazing talent who's transformed the game in ways not many have. Can't wait to see what he does over the rest of his NBA career. I truly hope he wins another championship or two, I'm not a Warriors fan but I wish him and the Warriors all the best. I really like teams like these Warriors that draft their players and develop them and keep them together. They remind me of the Spurs a lot with Duncan, Manu and Parker in that regard and I think that's part of why I'm a huge fan of what they're doing.

Growing up he had a professional at his disposal (his dad), to train/teach him the game, along with near unlimited outside training resources due to his dad’s profession. With all of that, Stephen already has a leg-up. You combine that with a genetic component and the will to play, then the only question is when, not if.

Steph Curry is a CHAMPION on and off the court! He is a FOCUSED baby face assassin with a TEAM mindset! GSW organization KNEW they had something SPECIAL and WAITED and PLANNED and ADDED to their VISION! GSW are CHAMPIONS! Their CULTURE is infectious and inspiring. GREAT decisions require GUTS to WAIT until it unfolds right before your EYES! And your REWARD for waiting is 4x NBA Champions with mature and young players who believe in the PROCESS of preparing themselves and others to be CHAMPIONS on and off the court. i thank you from the EAST coast for pursuing your desires with a WARRIOR attitude!
