Personally, I am a 12 handicap at my course. So I usually shoot around the low 80s. Haven’t been playing my best golf recently and last week my poor shots were a hook. But honestly, mind set, not trying the crazy play, trying to hit the green anywhere on a chip, and eliminate 3 putts are such stroke savers.

To cover off a few of the comments regarding handicap. The handicap system and the courses have been re rated in recents years. Handicaps are 2, maybe 3 shots lower than they would be before the changes around 5 years ago, especially against CONGU. +6 is more like +3/+4 which is borderline to try being a touring pro Clearly a very very good player regardless and great content.

I’m a 3.4 index and was interested to see the difference between our games. I think it’s realising that par is a good score, and birdies will come to you if you keep hitting GIR. I tried everything, range work, lessons, KZbin videos, nothing worked at all. I was pretty much ready to give up the game. Back to the current day, and fixed. Thank you! Taylormade BRNR mini driver! Easiest way to become a +6 is every morning when you're heading out the door to go to work, instead of taking a left towards work, take a right towards the golf course. Repeat that for a year and you'll be quickly on your way to +6. Don't worry about work, they will find someone else to do your job.

The negative comments are there way down below. Mainly based on his claims to regularly shoot -6 or better (a +6 handicap golfer). I think some commenters think the video intro text is quite overblown 'the incredible skills and strategies of a +6 handicap golfer who never fails to impress on the course.' - but his Golf is miles better than mine so I'll shut up.

It's choppers completely misunderstanding handicap indexes and how you achieve them. This lad didn't do anything different to other +6 handicappers I've played with/seen before. I think people just assume to be off +6 you have to hit drives 340 yard straight, put approach shots to within 6 ft and hole every putt. In reality you can be wild off the tee (Tiger & Bryson perfect examples of this) and miss plenty of greens, but if you can get up and down regularly and sink long birdie putts you will be a plus handicap golfer.

Can you pin this?: A *positive* handicap means you shoot under par, since you would in this case add your handicap to your score to make it 72, balancing the game. If you are a 15 handicap player, you don’t add 15 strokes after the round, you subtract them. Most golfers are on this side, so nobody puts the negative sign. It’s inferred. Look up why handicaps were used.
