In this video, you will learn how a basic electrical circuit works.
We cover what is an electrical load, what is a power source, what is a 100% purely resistive load, and why you need to use Pythagorean Theorem (right angle triangle) to figure out circuits that include Inductance and Capacitance to figure out Impedance.
Further, we then cover a series and parallel circuit for beginners from an electrician's point of view who's focus is on alternating current (AC) circuits.
You will learn many electrical theory math tricks when solving for the voltage, current, and resistive values in both series and parallel circuits, like how in series current is always the same, and you can add resistive values as a total value.. whereas in a parallel circuit, voltage is always the same, current is the sum of each parallel branch, and YOU CANNOT add resistance normally (it must be inversed), and the TOTAL RESISTANCE in a parallel circuit MUST BE LESS then any of the other individual branch circuits. (If a parallel two branch circuits have a 20Ω and 10Ω resistor respectively, the TOTAL resistance must be LESS THAN 10Ω).
I hope you enjoyed this video. Please comment below if you'd like to see a video on a similar topic for me to draw on the screen and teach you electrical circuit diagrams.
