Yes usually it is, so that when the power to the motor is stopped the brake automatically comes on, although this is not always the case.

We have an electro motor which is used in a machine where we paste cover of a book. And now all of a sudden it heated and some some were also starting comming out. When we open it, there plates of small and big. And the small one look like they are burn out. I would used some help from you about it, if it needed to repair.if you can kindly share your view or thought about it.because we still need to rung that machine for urgent work. Thank you
