This happened to me once. I was at my friends house and his dad was cooking burgers. We ate the burgers and I felt fine for the rest of the day. The next day I felt something poking at me in the throat. It was really painful, enough to make me cry. For the next 2 days I couldn’t eat without feeling extreme pain. I did not know what it was. I tried to reach down my throat to take it out but it was to far in. My dad was really worried and he thought that it was something bad so the next day, he took me to the ER. The doctor looked down my throat and said that it was a metal wire. I was really scared at this point. He said that he might have to do surgery to get it out, but he said that we could also try to pull it out. I choose to pull it out and he got pullers out and stuck it down my throat. He pulled at the wire and got it out and all the pain was gone. He put the wire on a napkin and it was all over. I am really lucky, some people swallowed it and had to get surgery in their chest.
