If you want to have a chance of getting up there faster, go buy businesses with the opportunity for improvement and discharge the loan under HJR-192 and you be there probably within 5-7 years easy. The first few minutes tell a story of a young man whose father had enough money to buy additional houses and a son who had $1,000 to buy one of those houses then sell it to buy a car (a mistake, he admits): - No one in 2024 is getting a home from lawn-mowing money - Stoked he got the opportunity with his dad but privilege is what enables someone to get financing at such a young age. Most people without money are massively debt averse. - He sold the house and spent the money on a car (a mistake, he says) which he no doubt learned a lesson from. Albeit an expensive one. He sounds like a very humble guy but those patterns are representative of a time/opportunity and confidence most aren’t privy too. Speaks to the importance of financial literacy and understanding how to work the system (and being born 50 years ago ideally).
