We need more fathers like Mehdi, who fought tirelessly for his daughter. The pain in his voice reveals the immense struggles he has faced against the system. I wonder how his family must be feeling about his relentless fight. Kudos to the lawyer Jibran Nasir, who stood by his side and helped him through this battle. Let's take inspiration from Mehdi's story and strive to be strong and supportive for our loved ones.

Thank you for sharing your story. It is inspiring. My wife's mother (a doctor) was soo sad when we had our first daughter (she never even held her first grandchild) and since the second daughter she just stopped talking to us. The situation is very difficult for my wife and unfair for my kids. Although toddlers , they don't ask about their "Nano" yet. I love my daughters and are the light in my life. JazakAllah, and wish you more success to your Kids.

It is heartening to hear that your daughter turned out to be a high achiever, but even if a daughter doesn't turn out to be the best, even if someone manages to lure someone's daughter and something bad happens with her, parents should accept their daughter back, the world will eat her alive, does eat such daughters alive, because parents don't even accept their divorced and widowed daughters back, let alone a daughter who was abducted and or something untoward happened to her in terms of "Izzat", parents need to understand, it is their child, no matter what happens, if they don't protect her no one will, they should stand by her, no matter what happens. An abnormal child born to the parents, is also their flesh and blood and should be brought up with care and love, because if they don't love him or her, who else will. Parents are the hand holders, who provide guidance to their children for navigating through life. The world says a thousand things, because people like to hurt others, parents should be steadfast and children should in turn be thankful for everything parents have provided them with and help them in old age.

My dear son, I really appreciate your bold, honest and brave effort of highlighting an issue which is avoided by Pakistani social media. I have also undergone a tragic loss. My brother was murdered in USA in November 1990. I was working in the Ministry of Defence, New Delhi on a sensitive appointment at that time. With great difficulty, I went to New York City and spent almost a year to find out the truth of what happened to my brother. I spent eleven months in New York meeting police officers. Each day was like a year. Staying without a job, with zero sport from home as there was no provision to get dollars from India. Our economy was 142nd in those days which is now at number five. No money no support and struggling with a mission almost impossible. I was 39 years old, perfectly healthy army officer. when I reached there. I returned after 11 months having lost 14 kgs with most hair turned white. Today's podcast reminded me of each day of my lonely fought battle. Now I am 74, having survived two severe attacks of corona virus. I think my days in New York were most challenging times of my life. Thank you once again, please keep up the good work.

This is an eye opener for parents that if anything of such sort happens they should first try to figure out what happened to their child instead of thinking that they ran away. Trust ur parental instincts and think positively about ur children instead of just going in a state of anger

Amazing father and inspired me to become a good dad , after listening to him I wonder why we don't make movies on stories like this in Pakistan . So many heroes around whom can inspire generations sadly we just stuck in love stories and shitty stuff .

Brother we stand with you in these tough times . In Pakistan it’s a sin to be even a little bit different from orthodox sunni sect . I can imagine your problems being a Shia how difficult it is to survive in Pakistan. They can’t tolerate a different sect forgetting about other religions. These are same people who have the audacity to say things about Israel ( is should be said ) but these people are just hypocrites nothing else . May god give you strength ❤

How about doing an episode on those who couldn't get their daughters back... The fathers of 1000s under age hindu girls kidnapped by Miya Mithu and his cronies? Your legal system doesn't show this briskness when it comes to Hindus.

@siddiquaalibhai6312 1. Your constitution, under article 65 prohibits Hindus from.being pm or president. 2. You didn't recognize hindu marriages as legal until very recently. 3. You have islamiyat as a compulsory subject for class XII. 4. Minorities in your country keep muslim first names to escape persecution. Danish isn't a hindu name. Neither is Yusuf a Christian one. 5. Your school text books openly teach hate against minorities. 6. Are you denying what miya mithu does?
