Everything. Ambient air temperature and pressure, compressor temp and pressure, turbine inlet temp, oil pressure and temp, fuel pressure and temp, speed and more all monitored for operation and maintenance purposes

Only 5% of air that passes through a turbine jet engine is combustible making condensation trails very rare as well as large amounts of fuel in wings unnecessary....Its basically free energy.

B Stevermer I think he’s talking relative efficiency. So 1 gallon a is about .2 mpg.. sounds bad, but if you take the number of passengers into perspective it’s that’s .01 gallons per mile per person. Aka 100 mpg per person. Very efficient compared to most cars
