I remember playing as Russia once and China immediately invaded with 4 mil infantry and 12.8k tanks. I scorched Siberia, fortified a small cluster of strategic cities on the Western border of Kazakh and started producing combined arms of aircraft, tanks and some infantry. I pushed back the initial wave of Chinese with air superiority but shit got dicey when he started out producing my aircraft. I simply focused on out maneuvering his fighters that were usually low on fuel from the distance and made sure to secure the Kazakh airport at all costs. We had a back and forth multiple times over basically half an hour of intense gameplay while I took most of Eastern Europe whilst China was basically stuck behind the Ural. Finland and Turkiye declared war but didn't affect much as I put a couple arti at the border. China did a sneaky and sent over 10k tanks to Ukraine but I was lucky I didn't annex it yet so China got attrition fast. At the end I managed to push China and bring the war to their mainland but I ran out of money and China wanted to sue for peace so I accepted. We talked and apparently dude was dangerously low on stab and could collapse soon if the war went on. I consider it an amazing W with many twists in the war but it was ultimately a stalemate as I was also dangerously low and on a deficit of money with the amount of attrition I got from taking back more than half of Russia in the final push. At the mid stages there really wasn't much difference in our tactics and troop composition after the first devastating Chinese performance despite taking half of Russia other than I having airports closer and home ground advantage whereas China continuously had 1.5 to 2 times the army size. I continuously had Winter spec troops whilst China initially did not, got them mid game and disregarded winter spec mid-late game after his troops kept on dying to scorch and aircraft. Eastern Russia was scorched by both of us by about 5 times in the exchange lol. Basically a pro tip to survive as Russia is scorch in sections to ensure maximum profit and quality is always better than quantity. Never disregard biome or terrain and don't auto capture when on defense. Make sure to strategically intercept close and weak targets whilst battering larger groups with aircraft or arti.

@@LiterallySho Ok? Glad There's still an active RoN community. I switched to HOI4 a while back and have been addicted since. Look man, we're all playing the same game. Having similar things happen isn't exactly that uncommon. China almost always rushes Russia in almost every game I played. The only difference here is I actually know how to play the game and thus, survived. Although I wouldn't call my tactics optimal, it was definitely good. Any "advanced" player would be able to pull off what I did anyways so having another tryhard have a similar experience does not in the slightest mean either of us just Ctrl+c Ctrl+v our comments.

suggestion:Reform the Russian Federation Let me explain:so let's say you wanna make a scenario where Russia gains independence and Kazakhstan is the only Soviet territory left. So to make that scenario you just go to the formables tab and click on "Reform the Russian Federation" once you release Kazakhstan a mail letter will pop up Country with no territory(when you click on it there's only one button and that button has the word resign) and on the world news tab it reads Soviet Union has collapsed! or Soviet Union has no territory! So when you click on resign after opening the mail you'll instantly get teleported to the server's main menu and you'll see Russia as a playable again This can also apply to other countries after they formed an empire but want to break up so that they can make a historical scenario
