One thing i would correct is about the equity part. Dennis didn't mean what equity market you are trading but rather how much equity you have to trade. Everything else is on point.

A lot of talk for nothing. They were successful because they were taught the exact system that works for the teacher but what makes a difference here between him and other internet gurus is that he guided them throught emotional aspect of trading personally and tough them and beat into them precise mindset to follow. They were not wasting time dealing with psychology of trading in their own.

No only that, they were given $100s thousands even millions to use for trading. You know how many times due to limited funds i missed out on easy predictable trades only because I was stuck in a position? Makes me sad to think about. But these people had practically unlimited funds to trade from.

Imagine growing a $2,000 account. Coming from a trader, don’t listen to those guys. Follow your own journey, bro. If I listened to that rule (invest less than 2 %), I’d never grow my account fast enough. I grew my account from $2,000 to $100,000 in less than 2 years. The thing is; everyone has their own style. Follow what works for you.

@@PamphileJonathan true indeed. But in my local market where im trading now, too many uncertainties causing the market to react differently every single day. I took this approach (approximately 2% per trade) and i found peace ever since. Yeah, may not be applicable to everyone

First half of the video was great. Second half, not so much. Why would a trader remain in a sideways CL market for up to 9 months? I don't think your chart analysis was well thought out. And looking at trend lines in hindsight makes them seem so obvious, but they are usually much less obvious when trying to mark them in real time. This explanation reflects theory more than practical application in my opinion.

Amen. Yet to have anyone go ahead and make predictions based of the theory and make a followup in a month to see how they did...
@Sumit-in5ji3 жыл бұрын
The trader doesn't remain in sideways for 9 months. The trader is taking a short position when Crude Oil market breaks the lower line. Entering the short position in early March 2020, exiting the short position around mid April 2020.

so i took a trade on the dow jones buy at $33964, trend trade and target was $34540, so the risk reward was 1/3 at first but then I remanaged the risk when the market moved in my direction so now the risk reward was 1/25. on opening the trade I wanted to open multiple positions but the price had moved up a bit so I was a bit sceptical as per risk to reward and opened only 1 trade and had 2 pending trades lower which didn't get triggered. my process which I have discovered through a lot of experience is much better than Richard Dennis's system. I can say that with 100% confidence because I've read the turtle traders.
