I was in New York and walked into a sneakers store hunting for rare Jordans. When I told the sales person that am originally from Kenya, he asked me if I knew Enda. To be honest I told him I don’t know that brand. To my surprise, he told me that’s a sneaker label from Kenya. That’s when I heard Enda for the first time. Unfortunately they were not selling the shoes in their store. But I was so proud to hear a Nike store salesman talk of Kenyan brand.

@SoilaSøila ..okay. I've lived in both sides. Not saying it's 100%, but you'll see more "done up" women in West Africa (ie. Wigs, eyelashes, thick lipstick, jewellery...etc - the whole works) than in East Africa. That's not to say there aren't any subdued women in the West, nor are there overdone women in the East but generally it's more pronounced in the West.

She said "If you create the opportunities, you find the people with the skills" . This goes deeper especially in African countries where opportunities are scarce but the Youth population and potential working class is steadily increasing. We need to create opportunities which would in turn motivate people to learn skills for available opportunities. An environment that stimulates productivity is bound to grow exponentially. Unfortunately there are multiple historical constraints impeding this structure in the African clime and we need to dismantle these constraints one at a time. Much love to this beautiful intelligent Kenyan entrepreneur❤

This is absolutely amazing. I am inspired by this young articulate and courougeous lady who has stepped into a territory that has been a reserve for big western brands and made a name and brand for herself. I am proud to be Kenyan, proud to be African.
