Carrie, thank you for sharing your story. I am 59 years old and began eating a ketogenic diet for about a year. Among all the numerous benefits gained from eating this way I’ve noticed a huge relief in my mental state that for most of my life was moderately manic.

I felt guilty of having chronic anxiety for 23 years, I have been on medication all this time, I also have thoughts of ending this suffering, I don't know what is the cause, I am exhausted, I have tried many things, I am recently divorced, with post-traumatic stess I think this is the last hope. What a relief that you have found your freedom again and can laugh again. you are blessed get a sweet hug.

I think keto is worth a try. Did you start yet? There are a few other things to try too that are on the level of keto for healing power. Check out a book called The Water of Life by JW Armstrong. I intend to try the protocol in that book soon. If it doesn't work, I will try keto next. There's also juice fasting, pure water fasting, raw milk fasting, dry fasting... carnivore diet, and even raw primal diet. These are the most powerful healers I'm aware of. Amongst them, I'm convinced most anything can be healed. Just a matter of trying them. My depression and suicidality are more recent so I have not suffered for decades like others, but it sucks all the same, is "for no reason" all the same. I'm lucky to have had a natural interest in health and healing before this (that I was learning about but not abiding by), so now there are at least options to try. I bet you can heal what you're going through. Go check out a video on Dr. Berg's channel too, about a guy who gave up and tried to starve to death, but was instead healed of his depression by the unintentional fast, and then pivoted into keto and has felt great ever since. Another inspiring vid is the interview with Aajonus Vonderplanitz about how he overcame his many cancers, autism, and crippling illnesses with a raw animal foods diet.

Your story is so amazing! I switched to a Ketogenic lifestyle 7 months ago. I noticed that when people ask me how I am, instead of good. I now say “great “ or “awesome” . A definite improvement in my outlook on life.

I tried to start Keto on May 3rd, feel like a failure at it now. Came across your video and just want to cry. I totally understand what you are saying in it. Thank you. I think I will try again, I can't afford medical for help with medicine and changing my diet/lifestyle might be my only chance.

When she describes the floating on the ocean metaphor, it made me think of The Beach Boy song “Until I Die.” Don’t make the mistake of thinking this song is going to be about cars, girls or the beach, this song is raw emotion about the militating depression. Brian Wilson struggled with it along with schizophrenia (and still does).

Hello, 72 years old. dysthymia since childhood. hypochondriac grandfather, bipolar brother committed suicide in 2008, same thing with my husband, I hardly ever go out of the house for 10 years: social phobia very severe. vegetarian for 30 years and since June 2018: keto and intermittent fasting, not much improvement but anxiety more manageable. I continue because I hope that at one time it will go better with the keto. Google translation.

See "The Lion Diet" a strict version of Carnivore. Might be of value to try for 30 days essentially as an elimination diet. I am trying, jury is still out but encouraged by those who have gone before. See Emily with "Center for Brilliance"

Hey Carrie thank you for sharing I can relate a ton from your story. Just curious what gene of the 2 MTHFR gene do you have a snp of? I just found out i have one mutation on th A1289C and am wondering what supplements to try. Thanks

Carrie, did you stick to 20 total or net carbs? What about dairy? And ooooooh, I can so much resonate with your story. People do look at me and ask: "why such a face? what is your problem?". So many chances lost, so many friends abandoned 😪 I feel lost and depressed and grabbing at keto as my new hope

Thank you for sharing your story, it is helpful for myself and I'm sure for many others. Can you explain B vitamins if you take supplements and what are methylated B vitamins and how you take them. You also mentioned kerrygold butter and how much you use. Also any other supplements that help you. Where can you be found on the internet ? Thank you 💗

I've always thought it was odd that it's illegal to kill yourself. It's really messed up if you think of it, Are they going to bring you back to life and charge you for killing yourself or maybe send you to jail. We live in a messed up world.
