What I'm not hearing Re: Low Carb vs. Low Fat..... is HUNGER!! I was Low Fat Vegan for over a Decade & I STARVED THE WHOLE TIME... never able to KEEP weight off. Ive been Carnivore for half a year....with NO HUNGER so long as i get enough fat. Symptomatically.... LOW FAT left me with all kinds of Inflammation.... THEN Carnivore QUICKLY CURED the Inflammation. • T2 Diabete Cured. • Hypertension Cured, • Migraines - none in 6 months • Chronic Acid Reflux now Gone • Arthritis in knees, hands & shoulders gone (except right shoukder that's 80% better) • Frequent Brain Fog Episodes nearly gone • Neck&shoulder eczema (episodes completely gone) • Fibromyalgia (undiagnosed) 90% improved • Insomnia improved • Neck "grinding" with rotating motion • Longstanding low grade cystitis gone (oxalates suspected) • Triglyceride/HDL Ratio improved >400% • 12 years of Low Fat Vegan constant HUNGER is gone - I eat only 1 or 2 times daily now. Low Fat left me sick and miserable....Carnivore fixed (or is still fixing) what Low Fat caused. No comparison.

Keto and Carnivore are good for gout as well. This goes against mainstream medical advice, but the huge numbers of patients saying this alleviates gout symptoms is very convincing! I found this to be true as well.

I am 9 months carnivore and have never felt better. I had moderate joint pain. Now gone. Lost and now Maintain healthy weight. I have genetic AA hemochromatosis. My cholesterol was super high on last tests. So much so I did not share with GP. I joined a carnivore group and shared results and was told to start introducing other food sources outside animal sources. I am confused.

Did dirty Keto for like 3 months, then a more strict Keto (max 30 gram carbs) for 3 months and now I'm gravitating to a more carnivorish version. 3rd week done now, first 2 weeks didn't feel all that great, I'm gonna trust the process though.

I came from many years whole food keto diet to carnivore 6 months ago. I have over 25 non-scale victories since that change! I am still struggling with fatigue and no weight loss, so now im looking into CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome).

Dr Westman - I have a question about glutamine (Fermentation) and cancer. As I understand it, cancer/tumors use glutamine as a food/fuel source. Further as I understand it, as a carnivore or ketovore, we consume a lot of glutamine in the meat that we eat. How does eating a lot of food that contains glutamine effect cancer growth? This has recently become important to me as I was diagnosed with Melanoma In Situ and I want to do what I can to make sure it doesn't get worse.

We changed to high protein, high fat and it changed our perception completely. Especially trying to understand why the government doesn’t change some of their suggestions that are not healthy. Many unhealthy mandates are taken as gospel by people as tho brainwashed. It is sad.

At 43yo I had given up playing basketball as I could not walk from knee pain the next day. I am now 48 and back playing and keeping up with guys half my age. Best of all, knee pain completely disappeared! Carnivore is healing

I’m one of the people who figured most of this out for myself. Right from the beginning (8 months ago) I decided to go carnivore with less than 20 carbs per day. This was before I found this channel. I have just been through the Christmas challenge and was pleasantly surprised how well it went. My family were very supportive and made sure there were plenty of options for me. The only thing I found was that they don’t salt their food as much as I like and they don’t eat enough fat. I have had good results with carnivore and look forward to further improvements in 2025 🙏

Keto has had great personal health benefits for me. However, It can get lonely in a carb addicted world. The social aspect of this 'lifestyle' is not discussed enough imo. Leading by example? Sure, people will think you're either amoral for eating all that meat, crazy and misinformed by fringe YT influencers, worryingly ask you if you're ok because you've become so skinny (compared to the fat ass asking) or think you're just a bloody antisocial right-wing, anti-vaccine conspiracy nutter.😂 Welcome to my lonely ketoclub.

As I was listening to his fear mongering pseudo scientific spiel, I was thinking..... what are you selling?.... and yep! There it was. These snake oil sales people are everywhere, hiding in the grass, preying on all of us if we don't keep our wits about us. I started out keto, but have switched to mostly carnivore, and I'm now about to do a few weeks of strictly beef and lamb, the lion version of it, to find out once and for all what exact foods I can't tolerate. Carnivore is easier than keto in my opinion, but I want to be able to eat things besides meat once in a while, especially if I know they are not harming me. I've been oxalate dumping for the past year, since I started carnivore, but it's slowing down now, so I definitely don't want to be eating high oxalate foods again, because I know from experience the damage they have been doing coming out, so goodness knows what they were doing to the cells of my body before they started to be released.

I think women might need a little bit more fat, and men - a little bit more protein. Also, there can be differences due to our body type, our current health issues and even season of the year! Listen to your body and track your progress. Find what works best for you!

Hey doc, I like your work however, I think you're being a little hard on steak and butter girl. She's not talking about people who are on terrible diets, she's here talking about fellow carnivores eaters. So to compare a donut where to cut a meat or egg simply not fair to her because she is not referring to that comparison.

There are a lot of causes of ill health that it is difficult to protect oneself from on an individual level. If people keep driving their cars, taking flights, and keep burning wood to warm their homes, the only thing I can do is to run HEPA filters in my home and wearing FFP2 masks outdoors. If people keep on spreading respiratory viruses, the only thing I can do is to try and avoid meeting them and wear FFP2 masks if I cannot avoid them. I have little control about microplastics in the environment other than avoiding plastic food containers. I cannot do much against climate change except by reducing consumption and travel, and insulating my home, but this is doing little if the rest of the population does not join in.

Being on Carnivore doesn’t guarantee immortality. We are all human.Carnivore, lowcarb or ketogenic are 100% effective for losing weight, improving our metabolic markers.I am 52 and since I dived in to strict keto carnivore,I have reversed my fatty liver, hypertension and no more pre diabetic.I lost 11 kg in 2 months and I am maintaining my weight up to now.But I understand clearly that somehow no matter how we took care of our health our body will deteriorate someday,we are not immortal.Just saying

NSV: I was facing left rotator cuff surgery, caused by an accident several yrs ago. I began Carnivore July 1, 2024 and by mid-September, not only was all pain gone, full range of motion returned and shoulder had healed. Brain fog is gone, gut issues gone, and no more Advil! Migraines that I had in college had returned decades later, and now haven’t had one since summer. Always had great skin, and the few sun spots on legs are gone. Allergies have subsided, and eyesight due to age has gotten better. It’s not ‘second sight’ that some people experience,, but truly better. I’ve also done 3 and 5 day water fasts which only sped up healing issues. The very first sign of significant change? My pierced ears since I’ve had since 7yrs old…. CLOSED!! What?? I’ve ALWAYS loved very rare to tartare steaks, always cooked using real butter, love eggs, especially duck eggs, and seafood - fatty salmon sashimi, mackerel, etc. The other thing? You’d never guess my age.

I actually gained weight on carnivore, lol. My reason was for chronic pain, brain fog and a long list of other issues brought on by Lyme disease diagnosed about three years too late. Took about 6 months on carnivore, but the depression was better after about 2 weeks, gone after a month, the joint and whole body pain eased up after two, even better after three, and after about 6 months, all of my problems, including the rampant brain fog, were essentially gone. As far as weight tho, I gained lol. I lost body fat, but the muscle started packing on fairly quickly. Went from 145 pounds and roughly about 16 percent body fat to thin as a rail, 9 percent body fat and 190 pounds in about a year and a half. I lift 5 days a week now, spend less on food, believe it or not, and at the age of 27, after dealing with chronic pain for 10 years of my life, I finally feel like a 20 year old. It’s the first time I’ve ever been able to say that and mean it, and the only thing that got me here was willpower and the infamous Carnivore diet. Love you all, and love you Dr Westman. Ya’ll helped save my life, cause I was almost ready to give it up before I found this community.

After 6+ Months on Carnivore for an Elimination Trial for Gut Inflammation: •Incurable T2 Diabetes was Cured. • Insulin Resistance almost gone • Hypertension Cured, Migraines Gone, GERD Gone, Knee, hand, & Shouldrr Arthritis Gone, Frequent Brain Fog Episodes nearly gone, neck&shoulder skin patches of inflammation (episodes seem to be completely gone), fibromyalgia 90% improved, Insomnia 90% better, neck "grinding" with rotating motion...stopped, longstanding low grade cystitis gone, Triglyceride/HDL Ratio improved >400%. 12 years of Low Fat Vegan constant HUNGER is gone - I eat only 1 or 2 times daily now. And that's about all that Carnivore did....oh....forgot... my muscle strength improved and exercise recovery times shortened a lot (used to be able to lift only 1 or 2 times a week for lack of recovery.... I had quit lifting to failure). Now lifting 3 X's a week now.

Adhering to an all-meat diet (22 wks so far) is slowly healing my IBS and leaky gut because it has eliminated all the plant foods that were causing me pain - just like you said. Of course, eating meat makes it EASY to be no/low carb… and happy.

I have come to believe carnivore is the most basic, optimal diet for a vast majority of people on this planet. I do not think everyone needs to eat only meat as there are many other factors in life that influence health and well-being. Somewhere on the spectrum on eating real food and getting rid of artificial so-called food is likely the most doable for most people. In the end, what you eat, what you do is completely up to you, because only you know what is going on with yourself. After that being said, Dave is a great guy to listen to. Funny and makes good points. Love all of you guys that work to make people better. Thank you!

The thing i find most tragic is that most ppl continue to perceive keto / carnivore to be "extreme". In reality, the Standard American Diet is the truly extreme diet - based on faulty & poor quality evidence that is responsible directly for so many chronic diseases. This is the tragedy.
