There are many ways to mispronounce "diode", I've never heard "die odd" before but that's gonna be my motto for a while... "Die odd" has a nice ring to it

didn't know there was a spinoff movie for die hard

Die odd for me is just painful. They will always be diodes to me.

if we're onto language business, it's called mispronunce :P, as in mis-pronunciation, with french origin, a pronoun is a word that can function as a noun referring to someone previously mentioned
@SzamuzАй бұрын
English language is fucked up but "mispronounce" is officially correct spelling
@king_james_officialАй бұрын
@@Szamuz yeah just looked it up lol, seems like "pronunce" is just used for pronunciation, and pronounciation is defined as its common misspelling. not sure why. some articles use "mispronunciation". my ios keyboard recognizes pronunciation and mispronunciation, but mispronounced is spelled with an o. wild stuff. i think i'll just start my own dialect

@@HDL_CinC_Dragon no prob. honestly, the mispronouncing of diode didnt bug me all that much, i was just uncharacteristically annoyed by the amount of fluff leading up to it lol

Awesome graphics and explanation! Thank you. I saw a self-leveling box laser in use yesterday for the first time and wanted to know how it worked. "G-r-a-v-i-t-y"!

You need to do a video on retractable hose reels! I've seen almost nothing online that's as in-depth as your videos and wanted to fix one of mine that has stopped locking the hose length.

A nut/bolt may have come loose on the ratcheting mechanism. Are there any loose parts flopping around?
@a-bellАй бұрын
@boostedxmas I've been searching up how to disassemble them and kept getting warnings that I shouldn't be since there's a high torque spring. I think it might just be the teeth of the locking mechanism being worn out. I can replace it with a 3D print but just wanted a better idea of the internal prior to taking it apart. Really don't want to get hit by the spring 😅

A cool video idea would be to explain how an electrical comparator/op-amp works, it's the basis for how we convert analog signals into binary, I love your channel!

The type of the lazier beam (dot, virtual line..etc) is fixed in the device? If yes, is there are other devices that can change the beam type with like a switch?

At least the mispronunciation of 'diode' is consistent, unlike the two or 3 different ways I heard 'reflective' pronounced.

hey man i have noticed you are using blender for production of your videos please tell me how you are creating the effect of parts border looking red green or yellow colour while moving cutter inside. please help.

One way to achieve this is to assign a second material with the desired color to the parts you want to cut

Why don't the magnet interfere with leveling?
@TheJonHeeseАй бұрын
It's not strong enough
@JohnyTugaАй бұрын
@leloctai The frame is made of a ferromagnetic metal (steel). Ferromagnetic metals "try to copy" the magnetic field of the magnet, and changing it (in this case by rotating due to gravity) has a damping effect since the metal does take time to change it's magnetic field
@klave8511Ай бұрын
I think you are correct, a steel plate would interfere with the alignment, it has to be a copper, aluminum or other non magnetic conductor.

Great videos, but mispronouncing basic vocab is a fast way to lose credibility. Diode is pronounced die-ode [ˈdīˌōd] and the plural of axis is axes, pronounced axe-ease [ˈæk.siːz]. I remember applying for a job and they asked in the interview if I had ever used "sequel". Me, having only read and not heard the word, did not know they were talking about SQL. Happened to me again when someone said "Fizzmo", referring to FSMO. When you're learning by reading, you don't always get a pronunciation guide. Say the words right and nobody notices. Say them wrong and everyone does.
