I thoroughly enjoyed this, thank you! In fact, when Mr. Pedersoli, Sr. was speaking about the hand engraving and mentioned the lady that is doing some of that work for them, I knew exactly who he was talking about. She did her very long, multi-year apprenticeship with a well-known master engraver, and she has, herself, become a master of this very delicate art. Her work has such precision & depth to it that it almost looks mechanical at first glance but after looking at it for more than a second it quickly becomes evident that it is so much more than some intricate laser engraved design, it is a combination of the masterful use of hand tools, eye for detail and the warmth of a design that can only come from an artist's mind.

I thoroughly enjoyed that. A great way to start the morning in Virginia. Use your influence to get them to make the 1886 in 38-55 - a little softer recoil for old guys like me!

Another fine video of fine firearms & a very classy family. Happy you were able to coax the senior Mr. Pedersoli on camera.

The composite stock needs to get a radius behind the grip and melt into the stock more. Fantastic machines in that workshop!

I have a new Winchester 1886 45-70, it is amazingly accurate, and the quality far exceeds the Winchester of the 70's & 80's. The modern 1886 Winchester is a rifle one would be proud to hand down to someone!

.45-70 Gov't, .45-90, .405 Win, and .348 Win seem to be the main calibers in the Miroku/Winchester M1886 currently (.348 not in current production). .405 Winchester cartridges and components are VERY difficult to source. Pedersoli doesn't manufacture replica of M94 (straight or angle ejector) which would cover .30-30, .38-55, .375 Win, .444 Marlin, .307 Win, and .356 Win (the latter four no longer in current production). However, they have configured the 1886 action to operate with .30-30. Thank you for the tour of the factory and interview with these fine gentlemen! I love to see the manufacturing process.

I just realised that now that you have your very cool ballistic radar for measuring the long range ballistics of bullets, could you, our dear Capandball, make a video where you measure your hunting loads for your hunting rifles (muzzleloader and cartridge guns)? I would love the info because the hunting regulations for big game are slightly different here in Finland. Here for big game we measure the energy from point blank and 100 meter range. I would specially love to know the performance of your Pedersoli jäger or jaeger rifle with the Lee R.E.A.L bullet you use in your hunting videos.

Thank you. Quite informative and … at the last, somewhat more amusing than I expected. Cheers from NZ🇳🇿. P.S. Your ‘Hunglish’ is superior to the ‘English’ of some BBC World News presenters/reporters and vastly superior to that of most ‘Murrican’ KZbinrs😁😈!

Very good vid sir,😊I would think that a modular lever action would be a big hit on both sides of the Atlantic,a new youngster generation is discovering under leavers and they don't want to copy their elders ,they want to put their own stamp on what they own .here in Europe stricter gun laws are going to eventually ban semi autos ,here in the uk most shooters own , under leavers as it allows you to fire rifles larger than 22lr indoors.all the best from sunny Troon 😊

I purchased a 1886 lately and it came with an aperture sight and iron sights. Can I use both sights at the same time? Are they co-witnessed to the same point of aim?

I have a question for you regarding the Black Powder you use in your BP guns. Simply are you familiar With Swiss Caviar powder? It’s seems to have been discontinued in the USA. I was wondering if that was the case in Europe. Thank you for your reply. Awesome video by the way!

The Pedersoli barrels do not compete well with the best American barrels in competition. The barrels that I have from Pedersoli have very shallow rifling compared to the American competition barrels, they do not in my opinion and others, shoot as well with black powder.
