Tyger Gray and I don't understand why, professional and interesting. Spread the word. Definitely one of my favourite channels & I'm always excited when I see a new video is uploaded. Got me even so far that I'll visit Hungary this year for some time with my family.

Great video as always. I just came in possession of an 1862 dated 1861 Springfield rifle with the federal soldier’s name on it. I was able to track down some of his military records online and have paid and sent a request to the national archives in washing DC to see what they have on him. I myself was able to find a photo of his unit from july 1863 but it is impossible to know which soldier he is. Rifle shoots great and the fact it has traceable history behind it makes it even better. You’re videos are top notch i enjoy the classics.

Wonderful to see you again and with such a fascinating rifle, maybe the most advanced of an obsolete system with the fouling management barrel but that is all the more facinating.

I'm assuming since its the same cal and they sided with Austria before total german unification the paper cartridges would be the same or similar.

Sir, never never never remove a spent percussion cap after you've fired your rifle especially if you're reloading right away because any hot powder in the rifle will flash the new poured in black powder

Blackpowder shoting is soooo nice. What did you use for lube? At the moment I use nivea for maxiball cal .45 from an kentucky rifle from the late 70s . It give a better acuracy and the barrel is good to clean.But there is everytime a better way. I am for sure not as good as you. but i like it a lot. and at the moment I am building my second musleloader by myself ;-)
@WWIIREBEL5 жыл бұрын
I do like this rifle-musket, but they need to NOT have a dove-tail front sight (originals didn't have em as far as i'm aware) , the sling swivels should be attached with rivets instead of screws . Original bayonets won't fit the muzzle because of the front sight and the barrels thickness. If i wanted to have one on it, i'd have to ruin the original bayonets socket by boring it out wider to do so. As a shooter, it's great...not so much for re-enacting due to authenticity issues.

They're one of the only companies making a decent reproduction of anything that doesn't require additional finishing on the part of the consumer. All the others are either singly-made on a per-order basis in some dude's one-man shop and cost $3k, or they're $400 Indian-made garbage.

@453421abcdefg123456 жыл бұрын
Felix D: I do not know where you live Felix, but it appear that you have been misinformed by media hype, there is no problem at all shooting black powder rifles in most of Europe, even in UK with it's tight firearms laws, in fact we can buy black powder to be delivered by the post in most countries, only 5 lbs at a time though.
@felixd78186 жыл бұрын
Thanks EF. I’m in the US where our government would faint at the thought of any powder being delivered through the mail. We’re not too sharp on sound suppressors either.
