Indeed! Original ICs were pretty big though, like the size of a pizza box. Back in times of old, transistors were massive. Once the IC was considered practical, they got around to shrinking them. Same goes for quantum computers today, they are once again as big as a grocery store fridge. It's only about as powerful as a 1920's punch card computer. Sadly we're nowhere near an IBM 5150 equivalent of a quantum computer (not in terms of power, but in terms of it being right there on your desk and carrying out useful home computing).
