How a Mini Pumper Truck Works - SVI Trucks

Venus Fire Department’s new Mini-Pumper truck is built with a strong aluminum body mounted on a Ford F-550 Cab and houses a Ford 6.7L, 330 horsepower engine and a Ford HD Torqshift transmission.
The new Mini-Pumper truck has a Hale 1,250 GPM pump with a 300 gallon water tank and a 10 gallon foam tank. The Truck also has plenty of open compartment space made to accommodate the department’s specific needs. This truck is both powerful and maneuverable, allowing the department to handle any situation.

Awesome video. I love the idea, mini pumper is a lot of something but they aren’t engines...1250 pump with 300 gallons? Is just enough to get you in trouble if you ask me. My department runs a rosenbauer with a similar concept as our first out to most calls, with equipment and water that truck is a few thousand over gvw. I’m sure similar trucks are right up against the max. That said, the maneuverability, handling and speed of our 550 is worth it. Love SVI.

Beautiful rig this is in our fleet at the venus fire dept i washed it yesterday its use for medical calls and mva extrication calls only we use our engine for fires.

@Johnny’s Bricks its a rescue vehicle engine 72 is for fires. Again its for RESCUES for med call runs and for extrication purposes spreaders cutters forcible entry tools all there, so is our med bags abd supplies. We have a private company doing transports so this suits the needs of the community. Any other smart ass questions concerns or comments? This community is an all volunteer force with very little funding from the county the dept raises its own money to pay for the apparatus we they dont belong to the city or county only thing connected is the name of the dept.

@@vandycommer1 im a former member its a volley dept. Not sure but i think its a 350 gallon. Its never used for fires just for rescue purposes extrication tools forceable entry tools and med bags and supplies are all on deck. It has a mini pumper and a deck gun but it was never used when i was there. They have a pierce engine and a tanker for fires and water shuttle.

@Johnny’s Bricks It's called having the capability when the unexpected happens. If they're using this for MVA, and a vehicle is suddenly on fire, but the engine either was not dispatched, or isn't there yet, wouldn't it be nice to have the ability to put the fire out? You don't get a "mini" pumper to do full-on fire duty. That's silly. You get a mini-pumper because you want to have an option when the engine isn't there.

All this and no mention as to the water tank size? This is the most important feature for deciding on such a unit.

@@nubbyg1234 This truck has a 300-gal. Poly water tank. There shall be one (1) 20 US gallon or 16.6 Imperial gallons polypropylene foam cell incorporated into the polypropylene water tank. Hope this helps!

Do this with a Dodge with a Gas engine and add a front monitor and this would be close enought to perfect

WWHHHHAT??? No front bumper turret, no light tower, no hydraulic tool reels. Sorry there's a deal breaker. Sure this is okay if you like vanilla, but have another bake sale and get the caramel sauce and nuts.
