Extraction and Failure to extract? My 9mm is flicking nice but every 15th round I get one failure to extract. Trying to figure that out. Gonna get a new one and if that doesn't fix it I'll break out the file until I get it working reliably.

No offense, but what makes the Tokarev special is the 7.62x25mm cartridge.

@@phucgiang395 no offense taken the Tokarev round is both a plus and a minus. Powerful flat shooting round, harder to find though. Having it in 9mm makes it more of a shooter.

The firing pin on this pistol tends to bend, but I don't understand why. Maybe during the ammunition explosion or maybe during loading

No it doesn't bend. It moves forward and backward only.

What prevents the slide from going too far back? Is it catching on the frame underneath the barrel?

There is a small square piece at the bottom of the barrel that gets stopped by a recess in the frame under the barrel.

@@bbergan2169 The ones on either side of the barrel link? Those little fins catch on the frame when it fires? Because on mine they are too close to each other and squeeze the link, so racking the slide is very difficult. I was thinking to file down a couple thousandths on the inside face of each one where they contact the link, but if that piece is really absorbing all that force obviously I don't want to remove any material.

I find these to be very comfortable in the hand. The best safety is the user. The gun was designed to be carried Condition 3.

I just used hammer as a safety, even though my came with a safety I never used it because it sucked. I agree, the grip is very uncomfortable
