Great video, Thanks. I'm thinking about rigging a mechanism up to utilize CO2 bottles like these for "single point fire fighting". A small device installed into, say an electrical cabinet or similar small enclosure.

Re arming kits vary a lot, look on the cylinder for its size (in grams), and also the type of fitting, 95% will require a green clip (for example Hammar fittings don’t), if you’re not sure ask you local chandler

Does it work with a salt capsule or paper capsule for detecting water. Afaik the UML MK5 uses paper?

To the best of my knowledge it’s a salt capsule that dissolves. Contact you life jacket manufacturer to confirm this.

Mrbigfrog assuming you pulled the firing cord, the jacket should’ve then inflated. Remove all the gas from the bladder by gently pressing the top part of the oral inflation cap into the non return valve. Get ALL of the gas out. Then take the now spent gas cyl to a chandlers and get a re-arming kit (you need the EXACT size of gas cyl and a new green cap). The vid shows how to install

Something Or other I’ve never heard of an in date one failing. However it is potentially possible. If one failed the salt tablet would disintegrate and make the jacket inflate. IMO

The size of each gas cartridge is stamped on its side. Should be easy to find at a chandler
