UGGH, my message went into cyberspace. Anyway I gave two other tips: 1) sit on your cushion in the plane and 2) take the wheels and if the back is removable, those with you onto the plane as well because if you have a tall chair or if the chair is rigid AND tall, they will turn it on its side and the cushion will have more of a chance to fall out (maybe put it in a garbage bag) and they will scratch up the wheels. Sometimes the wheels will fit in the over head storage.
