This is the most beginner friendly tutorial for your classic gents cut, and covers all your essential techniques beginner barbers will learn and apply in barber school. I've started out doing cuts in schools and am doing these kinds of cuts mostly, so this video was really helpful. Your method is pretty much identical to how I am being taught too!

I have been a stylist for over 30 years. I have paid for classes that were less thorough than this. To make cutting the nape easier, I ask my client to uncross their legs, push their butt to the back of the chair and bring their chin to their chest. I’m trying to get an easier fade mastered so I have more of your videos to watch. Thank you.

Thank you. You are the best. When covid started and all of the shops closed I discovered your channel, bought a $60 clipper and have not been to a barber since. Who knew cutting hair could be so easy, thanks to a great teacher. After several years my wife asked me to cut her hair. She said it was better than some of the pros that she had paid big bucks. They tended to always cut it shorter than she had requested. I also convinced her to let her beautiful silver hair to go natural.

I did hairdressing when I was 17 but I left before qualifying. I have two boys, 14 and 16 and they have high functioning autism and won’t go to the hairdressers and so I have to cut their hair. I have the basics but have never felt confident doing their hair. My 16 year old goes to college next month and I knew I had to get some tips and watched one of your videos last week. Absolutely one the very best videos online for a regular mens HC. To the point, exceptionally educational and helpful. Most videos on social media are on skin fades which is the current popular cut especially for younger, active gents. However, the regular cut will always be timeless and is the ‘go to’ when you consider a wider age range. Thank you for all you do. You’re a classy gentleman much appreciated! I love this! Thank you so much for this very helpful information. I really appreciate your technique. A couple of fun facts about sonevof your terminology (I think?): What you call "cutting off the corners" we call "blending' in the US. I've seen it done with scissors, clippers, thinning shears, and even razors. I guess it depends on the stylist's preference. What you call 'fringes' we call 'bangs' in the US. I am no pro as you are but I think, hopefully, I nailed the terms and translations.

This is is soo good. Thankyou !! All the fade totutorials are far to daunting for a beginner. This give me the confidence to a nice but simple haircut for my self. Thankyou 😊
