Anyone else thinks that the explosions are way too small compared to Bt3? The ults and supers shouldve been massive, it just looks small if a "country sized" energy ball explodes with barely any effects except smoke :/

They look small because he's huge. In game they aren't small and Tenkaichi 3 had no explosions or it would be a small mushroom cloud affect.

Respect for going in ranked singles with a giant. Especially now that beast Gohan is around, he's such a hard counter to giants. I'll say, I love that giants are in the game and I like to use them more than just occasionally, but I've never tried them in ranked singles, sometimes it's frustrating to play them. Whenever I feel the need to switch to a different playstyle, the giants are the ones I look for though. Unfortunately, the opponents seem to dislike going against a big boy (even though I mix up my combos and use their full kit when I do use them) so much that they almost never go for a rematch :(

Yeah Beast Gohan is scary, especially because his kick becomes unguardable It definitely was fun using him, more than I initially imagined. I can definitely imagine Cell Max being more fun in DP battles, because not everyone will start out as a 9/10DP character, so you just wreck them early

Ohoh, yes. Giants in DPs are very good imo. Still, I think 9 DP is too much. I like hirudegarn in my team at 6. He swats away the 2-3 DP annoying people like Roshi, Rekoom, Spopovitch, Nappa, Yajirobe like flies and is overall a very good pick against any character under the 7DP without costing too much. Not uncommon that I wipe half of the opponents team with him and he's got afterimage as well as explosive wave. I like to use him with Z Broly and SH Gohan. Very powerful team.

I figured out on classic controls and how to punch your opponents that are lower than you, you would hold the L stick down and press the square button so they start punching people below them.

SSJ3 Goku Dragon Fist is also unblockable on giants as it skips the punch animation done on non giants, so I figured Beast Gohan too be unblockable and unfortunately it is, plus him having a Super and Ultimate just makes him the most deadly for every giant.

How interesting. Even I never thought to try Circle but I play on Classic so this is likely still impossible on Classic & is only a Standard-exclusive mechanic for giants. Thanks for that info.

Giants play so weirdly in this game, they really feel like you play them like Zoners, spamming Ki and waiting until you get enough Blast Stocks to Spark to spam Smash Attacks. I find that Giants who have Defensive Skills are good because trying to Super Counter with them just nets you getting Vanished. Once you are in Sparking, you just have to SetUp a Super, which means Giants need either SEW or an Unblockable, like Ape Baby. I wish Cell Max had his Body Lasers, that woulda made his SEW such a cool attack. His Punch is decent, at least, even if it costs 4 KI Bars. Not a problem, though, Cell Max charges Ki fast. Good video, hopefully they fix his Ult.

Yeah super countering with giants is weird because I can barely see them hitting me 😭😭😭😭 So yeah, explosive wave is a MUST! And yeah, if they gave Cell Max some laser attack, that would have been sick!!

The Mighty Fist attack is great. I always start a match by charging the 5th ki bar to half and just flying up to my opponent and using Mighty Fist right in their face. It's unblockable and takes an entire healthbar. It always takes people by surprise because people aren't use to someone playing so aggressively.

Nah. Sparking with giants is good, no matter what. Doesn't matter if you hit them with an ult or not, although they definitely need to fix Cell max's. They get complete super armor against any character, their smash attacks become unblockable and faster, deal a fuck ton of damage (8k for the first hit) and you can follow it up with two more, very fast chain attacks. 10k+ just with four attacks. If you succesfully chain an ult with them, that's easily 30k damage. But you don't have to, you can choose to keep being on your opponent ass and do whatever. To make up for his ult, Cell has got a pretty good unblockable melee attack. Giant's pressure on sparking mode is crazy, and it's unescapable, thanks to their fantastic rush attack. The advantage in damage and defense you have on your opponent is unreal and that's the goal of any giant player, in any match.

Giants are fun as hell. I’ve been running all giant in DP and it’s so fun. People message me after every game it’s so funny people get so salty. If you can get sparking and hit them with a combo into a charged smash attack and hit all the follow ups, it’s like 13k damage every time. (It can be 25k+ if you hit the Ult after the last follow up)
