Josh was the most incredible QB to watch in college. For Wyoming fans at war memorial I don’t know if we will ever feel like that about a player again. Talking about him literally brings my grandparents to tears. It was so incredible to be a part of that group that rallied behind him. We all just felt so lucky because we know players like him don’t come around ever for Wyoming.

Josh grew up in Firebaugh, California. Firebaugh is 47 miles and almost a straight shot to Fresno State. Josh wanted to play for Fresno State and they would not even consider him. Quite a few coaches got fired over that.

Josh was a tremendous talent. He could bull his way through a defensive line like a star high school QB should. It's just that NFL QB does that regularly unless he wants an early medical retirement. He could also throw the football into the next zip code. It's just it wasn't the zip code with the receiver in it. Josh's great strength is that he takes coaching well. A lot of new QBs think the entire NFL reality will warp itself around their talent. Example: Johnny Football. Josh didn't do that. Instead he grew up and grew more accurate and more discerning. It's not all wine and roses. Under pressure he still makes some rookie mistakes trying to make things happen when the Bills get stymied. Hence his appalling interception record. But he's slowly growing out of that.

It doesn’t matter, he was the 7th overall pick and was projected to go 1st the second the 2017 draft was over. Any QB that was given a projection like that is fully expected to be great. Didn’t matter Carson Wentz was a D2 QB, he was taken 2nd overall and that means you are 1000% expected to be the franchise QB.

Unfortunately, the best players are not always on winning teams. Championships are team accolades, so some of the greats like Barry Sanders never had a title because of the team. Allen came into the league with a team of no names, no offensive lineman, a defensive coach, and Kelvin Benjamin as his WR1. Swap him with Mahomes and give him Hill, Kelce, Reid and a championship team and he's got rings easily. Allen Since 2020: The leader in Total TD by 18 Second in total yards by a few hundred which could change by years end. Playoff passer rating since 2020: 123.5 and is 6th all time in the playoffs for his career. (Was #1 until Cinci game) Leading the league with 80% of his teams total scores. 80%! And the Bills have been the highest scoring team during that time. (thanks Josh...even with sitting out all those games late) Since 2020 I believe Allen has 165 TD and the team has punted 175 times Fantasy football is all about individual production and NOBODY has been more productive than Allen. Finished 1st in 2020, 2021, was second in 2022 (with his shoulder injury), and is #1 again this year. He's breaking records what seems like weekly and is ALWAYS in the MVP conversation. (should have had it in 2020) The problem with Josh Allen? Coaching and his defense. The same soft coverage and prevent defense that is responsible for 13 seconds, is also responsible for all the other close games where Allen put the team on his back, gave them the lead late, and the defense collapsed. All anyone has to do is actually watch the games and not spout off about things they don't know about. You can even go back to the Philly game and watch how McDermott made mistakes with calling timeouts to freeze a kicker on a 59 yard try and then didn't go for it with 20 seconds left and a timeout. What did the defense do in OT? Played soft & lost. Oh and about the turnovers? Yeah, he has a healthy amount of them, which I would take all day with the heroics that are not reflected on a stats sheet. So many first down conversions that would have been punts. For fun, his interception rate is better than Manning, Montana, Kelly, Marino, Aikman, Favre, Big Ben, etc. Most talented player in the NFL.
