Awesome video! The course was a lot more accurate than I thought! I figured they would have taken a lot more creative liberty in the rendition but this is really good!

great comparison! even with the missing/misplaced buildings you mentioned, i still think it's incredibly accurate, especially for a mario kart game. overall it just feels like a playful / more alive version of sydney. if nintendo makes one of these tracks for berlin, i might consider comparing that to the real city, i travel there now and then

Uluru can also be seen in the background of this track, especially from the Barangaroo area (Even though there's no way in hell you can see Uluru from Sydney in real life). It's unfortunate you didn't mention that.

When I first played this track I absolutely died spotting a Tangara train going over the Harbour Bridge. Absolutely fantastic detail, very exciting for a Sydney local and train nerd!

Wow! You did a great job at pointing out the elements of the Mario Kart track and comparing them to the ones from real life. You can also see Uluru/Ayers Rock in the far background to the right of Barangaroo in the Mario Kart track.

At 2:37 there's a number of real buildings represented which is pretty cool. 33 Alfred- the old AMP building, the MLC centre, 1 Farrer Pl, Credit Suisse. I'm just fortunate enough to work at a lot of these locations, I wouldn't expect everyone to know them. Great video!
