How Accurate is the Tooltop ET628 Cable Tester? | A Review

Is there any video you can make for entry level computer nerds. Me and my brother want to start our own little local computer repair hustle and I am trying to learn a whole bunch of things that we could add to our list of skills to have more of a variety then just computer repairs such as how to make your home internet as secure as possible etc. I am a student in Community college and I just made the exciting switch of my major from Programming and Software development to Cybersecurity. Is there any advice or video ideas you think you could get from this?

I would be tempted to buy the 624 version as I don't think I need the fiber testing capability. I am interested in how it shows crossover cables. Does it show them as good or faulty? I already have a Gembird NCT-3 and that shows crossover cables as faulty.

Is the tester also capable of measuring the length of a two-core cable?

Does the numbers on the screen tell you which end of a cable has been terminated wrong ?

Great review thanks. I generally dont like multifunction tools like this cuz if one function breaks the whole thing is kinda ....broken. Id rather just keep a seperate tone/probe, tester, and multimeter. For cable leignth I can read the foot markers on the run. If youre gonna need to mesure cable leignth youre basically needing to certify,,,, and for that I reccomend the Triplett rcw1000k2 which is a REAL cat6 certifier and pretty affordable as far as certifiers go.
