@@FernandoZrinyi IMO, to fear monger us into following their doctrine, customs, traditions and to walk away from The Most High's. To lead us to believe that their way was the right way. If not we were going to suffer in this torture of fire and brimstone. Well if they taught us truth about fire and brimstone to begin with, we would have more people that understood love a long time ago. Last week we began a teaching discussion about healing. The video is labeled you can't walk in the law unless you are healed. Today we will continue that discussion with how to move forward with the process of healing. The 1st law that ever mattered to our creator was the 1st one ever spoken Genesis 1:26-28. He just wants us to be fruitful in his image and multiply his Galatians 5 fruit across the world. We can't do that if we aren't healed. The fruit aka the light can't have dominion if we aren't healed. The light has dominion period that's why all the serpent can do is bruise our heals. Just my opinion. Although it goes against the mainstream doctrines. The Father is clear in Leviticus 16 about following the customs of the lands we live in, that includes the false doctrines being taught. This is why word studies are so important and gaining an understanding of the history of it all. Being a seeker. Not being bound by one book but reading them all. Cross reference multiple religions in a comparative study to gain understanding. This leads to awakening. For the father loves and rewards the seeker. Enjoy your path.

One more thing for clarity, I think our Heavenly Father removed half of Adam's DNA, this is why a man and a woman must be joined together and become one flesh. That union results in an offspring that is a half, either male or female, that must be united to another half to be made one flesh as the original Adam was before our Heavenly Father took one half of him to make Eve. So our Heavenly Father did remove Adam's Rib and the rest of that half of him, making him incomplete and only one side of the union to his future wife, where they later become, "one flesh" as Yahushua said clearly. Blessings.

if the translation is as its being perceived, as the corner stone of structure of the man, then we can also come to the conclusions that it might not even be a bone, or even generic flesh of the man. It could actually be a piece of the essence of the man spirit, a part of the man spirit, Gods breathe of life. Maybe Man was originally everything in itself, kind and loving, and caring, strong and powerful and wise. Maybe God took part of the mans personality and core traits and created a female with those nurturing traits that was part of the man, although man lost those traits that make up a woman, man gained companionship. For God knew that being alone was not Good, for God was alone. just because something is not good, does not mean it evil in regards to it missing something. It should mean incomplete, not 100%, although it could still function and survive at 99%, it still wasn't the 100% of function. If you get what i mean.

In Genesis 2:21-23, two different Hebrew words are used: *Verse 21* - צֵלָע (tsela) - translated as "rib" (referring to the physical part of the body) *Verse 23* - עֲצָם (atsam) - translated as "bone" (referring to the bone taken from Adam) Although both words are related to the human body, they have distinct meanings: - צֵלָע (tsela) specifically means "rib" or "side". - עֲצָם (atsam) means "bone" in general. The use of two different words suggests that the author intended to convey that God took a specific bone (atsam) from Adam's rib (tsela) to create Eve. This distinction is important for biblical interpretation and understanding the creation story. Would you like more information on biblical Hebrew or biblical interpretation?

Christianity and English keep mistranslating so much and then they totally misunderstand what they mistranslated and corrupted. In Hebrew, Adomah means Earth. In the original Hebrew scriptures the One True Creator created the Adom/Earthling/Human as an Hermaphrodite, both male and female, with two faces. One Feminine and one Masculine. Later the Creator put the Adom/Earthling/Human to sleep and surgically removed Chavvah (aka Eve) from one of the Adom's sides.

Actually, the Hebrew word for "rib" is Tsal'ah (Tsal-aw). If you have a Strong's Concordance, you can look it up there, the reference number is (6763). There are a few figurative definitions of the word in the NT, but in the OT, it's literally a rib taken from Adam. In one of peter's Epistles (1 Peter 3), he calls woman a "weaker vessel", that's because God created a order that is not to be broken: The Heavenly Father is the head of Christ, Christ is the head of man, and man is the head of woman (1 Corinthians 3). Like it or not, this is what is written in the word of God. Peace and blessings everyone.

Man and woman are not equal, though, but complimentary. When God took one side of Adam to make Eve, he made it clear that she is not equal but complimentary since the one side of your bilateral body is complimentary and not equal to the other. We have left and right hands, feet, arms and legs which are able to carry out movements the others cannot, since they are limited in one direction. The same applies to man and woman, they are able to do things the other cannot because they are complimentary instead of being equal. If we apply common sense, this is the best possible outcome, because by making people unequal, one is able to achieve what others cannot, thus far exceeding the limitations of what an individual is capable of. This is especially crucial for marriage because we need someone who is better at some things than us while we are better at certain other things to enable us to live "on our own accord" (which means nothing more than provide for ourselves as humans in contrast to God providing for us directly) as Christians. All those who seek "equality" seem to have been misguided by the "snake", since we cannot hope to reach something that we were not made for, otherwise it will be our downfall as well.
@MHShah172 сағат бұрын
It depends which interpretation or translation of equal: I assume the video is using the one that complimentary is included in, the same value, but Complimentary would be a type of equality in different ways that support and require each other. But I agree, people these days are trying to use the other meaning of being the same... we are not the same, but equally valuable in different areas. People are trying to reject the fact that males and females are different and that they NEED each other.

In Genesis, the word traditionally translated as "rib" comes from the Hebrew word tsela, which can also mean "side" or "part." This opens up a broader interpretation of Eve's creation, suggesting a deeper unity and equality between man and woman as two halves of a whole. Exploring these nuances reminds us how important it is to study the original languages and contexts of scripture. 📜✨.Do you think re-examining these translations changes the way we view the relationship between men and women in the Bible? How might this influence modern interpretations of gender and unity in creation?🤔. Blessings to all watching! May this video inspire you to dig deeper into scripture and uncover the richness of its original meaning. Knowledge of the Bible’s deeper layers helps us grow in faith and understanding. 🌿

Thank you for this precious teaching. It sent me to look at the various translations of the Bible in my home. The Amplified gives the translation of Gen. 2:21-22 as “rib or side”. The first thing that came to mind as I reflected on this teaching was that when Jesus died on the cross a soldier pierced his side with a sword, releasing blood and water (John 19:34). Is this a picture of Christ giving birth to his bride, the church, through the blood of salvation and the waters of baptism? It is as if what was done in the natural in the Old Testament is now done in the spiritual in the New. God’s plan is so awesome!

Whether it is literal or not is less important imo as the symbolic meaning behind it. God gave Eve to Adam as his wife. Not only did he establish the importance of marriage and family, but he also began the ever important marriage symobology of Christ to his church which he reference repeatedly. Read the Bible and watch for marriage, wedding, bride, symbology with relation to ancient Hebrew wedding rites. This was an important and powerful doctrine that God and Christ taught and used to help Israel understand the importance of covenant relationship with Him.

The Bible was rewritten and made something else and called "the Bible". There are bad versions of the Bible. That doesn't make them a "basic translation". @ And that Bible is an old English translation, of a Latin translation, of an Ancient Greek translation, of a more ancient Hebrew account of an even more ancient Jewish memory. And that doesn’t even account for all the “adjustments” that were made by the ‘Holy Roman Catholic Church’ to bring it more into line with “doctrine”. So, while there is certainly good material in there, it’s a challenge to “separate the wheat from the chaff”.

Firstly, Adam was (created from the dust of the Earth) complete lacking in nothing. When Yahuah Elohim gave the instructions concerning the relationship to exist between Elohim and man, (Covenant), in the Garden, Elohim made that Covenant with Adam only. When Eve was formed, (possibly, cloned from Adam), the process could have been such that a DNA strand was removed from Adam to do so or a complete side of Adam, left or right, could have been removed for that purpose. Either way, the Truth is that if Elohim intended for woman to be equal in the radical sense that the narrator of this video seem to be implying, then He would have created her at the very same time, together with Adam side by side, and would have made the Covenant concerning their acceptance of the gift of life, with the condition of continuation of same, with both of them together. You can also take note that Eve came from Adam, was afterwards brought to Adam and it was Adam who identified her as being bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh, because he would have realised posdibly that, certain physical attributes from and of him was now on her. When Eve ate the fruit, you noticed that nothing happened? Why not? Because the Covenant condition concerning the continuation of life was not made directly with her. When Adam ate the fruit however, immediately something happened; they became naked because the clothing of innocence which covered them left immediately. They were no longer obedient, innocent children. What is considered inequality in these times especially by women: Getting married to a man and not a woman, being required to engage in the activities which are endemic to keeping a house namely, cooking, washing, sweeping, making the bed, and being at home, and happy to receive and welcome her husband when he return from activities, geared towards providing for the basic, general and specific needs of the home pertaining to upkeep; food, clothing, building maintenance what have you. The way certain evil elements in society will portray it is that the woman does all the work in the house, while the husband go out and lime whole day, just to return to eat and sleep. This is as evil a concept, as that of certain types of men who promote the idea that women are to be treated as chattel property. Women are to be treated by their husbands with the utmost of love, care, attention and affection that is possible for one human to bestow on another. men are to be regarded by their wives with the utmost of respect care, attention and regards, as to the one who is responsible for her protection, health and wellbeing and that of the children she is happy to bare for him. The problem in these times is that women allow themselves to get involved with men for the wrong reasons namely, how they look physically, how big a bank account they possess, or how smooth their lyrics are, just to name a few. Women will not think to find out confidentially, what is the true character of the manthey become intimate with. Men on the other hand, go for the physical features of a female instead of finding out if she is good wife material. Neither seek like Adam, to wait on the Almighty to provide. I see the purpose of the video narration, is to further muddy even more the murky waters of the already endangered specie of the nuclear family, as The Scripture according to the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation instructs.
@pedroaledo89712 күн бұрын
You are correct in your assessment of the men and women, yet, your opinion about the narrator's purpose might be incorrect. I say this because his intentions may have simply been to push the narrative of equality between the sexes, and in so doing makes the waters more murky. The narrator may have been striving for clarity and unity and yet failed. But again I also believe your assessment of society's portrayal of the woman's work in a home akin to that of a slave to the men that are out working for the home is correct. A woman who cares about her husband and children and works at home maintaining the home and the functionality of that home as a good and nourishing place for all parties involved is no easy task and one of equal importance with any other part being done in their relationship. And the fact that anyone would see that as anything else than one of the two main parts that must be completed by the woman specifically in a relationship, both for her and her husband to be obedience to our Heavenly Father's Words in the Book of Genesis, is foolish and childish, showing their continued rebellion to our Heavenly Father, much like Eve's rebellion in the Garden of Eden. All in all, great job on your position and your comment.

I really love the in-depth research and tracing the history of "rib" over time. You did almost lose me when you said "BCE" though. One thing I would like to add is Paul makes the connection that marriage is a symbol of humanity's relationship to God. Retranslating rib to side has another profound impact. With that in mind, picture Jesus (fully God and fully man) giving up his spirit (echos God causing Adam to fall into a deep sleep). After Jesus died, his side was pierced (God took from Adam's side), and blood and water flowed out. This blood and water is what reconciles us to God, and we become one with him.

I often told my wife... (first and second), that "You are the other half of me." A man without a mate, a woman, is never a complete man. Men are by nature, a mate. In the scriptures, it also says that only "death or adultery," can destroy the bond between a man and his wife. Only one of those can no man control. But the other can be controlled by a man or a woman. Imagen a coin, with two sides. It'a a singular coin, as a man and his wife are "one flesh." If you split the coin in half, you have two sides... But they have lost their worth, no longer being one coin. Now, once split one from the other, can they never be rejoined. The scripture also give advice to young men, that are easier to lead astray and live more by passion and desire, than a level head. Do not join yourself to a harlet, (whore), because the two will become one flesh... If you lay with hookers, you become no better than a hooker your own self. You're spiritual worth being the cost for such things. Death ends a marriage... But so does adultery. Adultery is the "spiritual death," of someone, as surely as a physical death.

@@ninavongunten122 If adultery is as death to a marriage, then I would think that the marriage is as dead as death. A divorce would not alter that. But if a couple divorce for some other reason, then YES it would be adultery, for the man or woman, who were once married, to commit to or marry another. Because the first union was not destroyed by adultery in the first place, and neither of them are dead at the time of remarriage. It also says that if a man puts a woman away from him, (Divorce), and she marries another, the first husband has caused his former wife to commit adultery with the second husband! Maybe she's a terrible cook. Maybe he snores too loud! There are many things that couples endure and often squabble about. But ONLY adultery is an act that defiles the bed, destroys the trust and damages the heart of a spouse. Even if there's some sort of forgiveness, trust is nearly never replaceable. In the Bible we see that it was the men, who would offer a document of divorce to the woman. And at times their reasons were petty and cruel! Example... A man divorces a wife of 20 years, because she is older and maybe not pretty to him any longer. She knows him and gives him hell for what she knows about him! Maybe she can't cook, or clean the house... Reasons for a man to get rid of the 'ole battle ax,' are not all reasons of spiritual death. But maybe a soul crushing one! It was why the Messiah clarified Marriage and the reason for divorce. "Any reason is not always a good reason." But, "Spiritual Death," and physical death are not so far apart as some would think. My first marriage ended with divorce, due to "spiritual death." A man's love for a woman is meaningless, when her eyes and heart go astray... The divorce paper was to justify the separation, to those around the divorced couple. But isn't death a good cause for separation? Even spiritual death, human betrayal, any lack of feelings for the one you agreed to marry?

In Ancient Hebrew, “Zela” (צֵלָע) primarily means “side” or “rib.” It is famously used in the biblical account of the creation of Eve in Genesis 2:21-22, where God takes a “zela” from Adam to form her. In this context, it is often translated as “rib,” though it can also imply “side” or a part of something. The word can also carry architectural or structural connotations, referring to the side or plank of a building or object. The broader meaning emphasizes a part or component of a whole.

I think our Heavenly Father removed half of Adam's DNA, this is why a man and a woman must be joined together and become one flesh. @@liepa7768 The KJV 1611 may not be a 100% perfect translation either but it's the best there is. That's why it's been the most persecuted version of the bible (The word of God) for the last 400+ years. The New King James Version doesn't compare with the 1611 version either, unfortunately.
@jackslapp907311 күн бұрын
@@liepa7768. Yeah, and those translations create other problems when they interpret the word 'tsela' as 'side.' For instance, the NET, reads: "So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep, and while he was asleep, he took part of the man’s side and closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the part he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man." The first issue is that it adds the word 'part' and omits the word 'one' in verse 21. The second issue is that in verse 22 it omits 'tsela' (side/rib) and replaces it with 'part.' To be consistent with the translation of 'tsela' as side, it should read: "So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep, and while he was asleep, he took *one of the man’s sides and closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the *side he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man." Obviously there are problems with this translation when it indicates that Adam lost a whole side. In verse 22, there are two different readings where the NET says the 'side' was taken "out of," while the KJV says the 'rib' was taken 'from the man.' Which is the most literal? "Out of," or "from"? The plurality of sides in itself isn't a problem when there are two sides, until one of those sides is removed like a "side of beef." Remove one side from a cow and you have half a cow even after you close up the flesh. Of course, I suppose it is possible that before God took a side of Adam and made a woman with it, that Adam had four legs, four arms, two heads, and the sex organs of both genders. But, if that was the case, then there wasn't really any reason for God to create a "helper" for Adam because "it is not good for man (Adam) to be alone," when that "helper" already existed as one of his sides. The notion that Adam was androgynous, whether like male and female conjoined twins, or by being a single person exhibiting both genders, results in contradictions. In the first androgynous figure of conjoined male and female twins, a "helper" already exists and the issue is one of merely separating them. Did God make a mistake he had to fix then? In the second androgynous figure of a single person exhibiting both genders, the splitting would leave both with half of a body. Sure, God could have rebuilt them, but the text doesn't indicate that he needed to repair Adam other than to close up his flesh.

The “one flesh” idea comes through just fine in the king James. I am all for the study of Hebrew manuscripts, but these guys are making a mountain out of a mole hill. In my faith tradition, I grew up, understanding that woman was made from the side of Adam and thus equal to him. if you are familiar with the scriptures, this concept is clear throughout the Bible. I can remember chuckling at the comic sense of the popular phrase that came out in the 60s “from Adams rib to women’s Lib“. people familiar with the Bible, never took this seriously because it suggests a basic evolutionary premise antithetical to Hebrew understanding. they still cannot deny Male headship and that Adam was created first.

I find it fascinating that the Hebrew text may reveal a deeper intention for unity between man and woman. To me, the idea of Eve being created from Adam’s “side” is so much more empowering and reflective of God’s perfect design. But it makes me question: why has this mistranslation lasted so long? Is it possible that the traditional “rib” interpretation was shaped more by culture than scripture?

It's not really a mystery. There's all kinds of people in the world. It does take an individual with a female reproductive system and a male reproductive system to create a new human. Make sure you find a compatible one if that's what you want. Lol The truth is in a marriage/family we can grow spiritually. We learn how to love as Christ loves us. That's the purpose. Being single has it's positives but, going through life without a family (intimacy) is often lonely. Family or marriage is a way two individuals can grow in intimacy. I don't mean sexually. But as two people.

The narrator says, between 13:00 and 13:05, that there is "gender equality" between the man and the woman, but the Bible says the woman is "the weaker vessel" in 1 Peter, 3:7-also, in 1 Corinthians, 11:9, it says "Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man"! What then, for these things? In the latter days and times of this world, we see that there are various-and nefarious attempts to weaken, dilute and corrupt the word of God, as it was originally taught by the former generations, who had a more sound and wholesome understanding and interpretation of the Bible. Consider also-no generation, since America was founded as a nation, ever understood the scriptures perfectly, but giving credit where credit is due, there is something to be said about those who came before us-and their understanding of God's word, which was more "in-sync" with the original writers' interpretation, than many of todays' analyzers of the word of God-and that includes they who posted and narrated this article! And as far as the host of this video's analysis of what the "rib" means, I think I'll wait and hear what others have to say about the matter-such as Biblical scholars who've devoted their lives to knowing God and his word, instead of all these "fly-by-night" KZbin "experts" on what things mean in the Bible-and there are plenty of them on KZbin now! 11-17-24.

I dislike when people imply that past religious people were simply taught wrong and that's why they had a patriarchy. I don't know if the original story was meant to be "side" or "rib", you make a strong case for it not being "rib", but regardless, women weren't mistreated in the past because of a religious mistranslation. Sure, the translated (perhaps mistranslated) text said "rib", but no one who took the scriptures seriously thought that meant "women are second-class". Those people would have also been aware of the multitude of other passages where you can't use them as an excuse to treat women as inferior. Treating women as inferior happened for entirely different reasons, and _some_ religious people justified this behavior that _they were going to do anyway_ by referencing the rib thing. People of the past weren't stupid, they had consciences and gut-instincts. It isn't some modern-day revelation, everybody already knew that! "Oh, we mistranslated a single word that is actually supposed to be a more general word that doesn't point to a specific bone, turns out we can't treat women as inferior!" No - no one seriously believed that, not in Christianity at least (or anyone who claims to adhere to the words in scripture - regardless of language).

God's Word is not wrong but man has mistranslated some of it when translating from one language to another. English is new compared to Aramaic and Hebrew. There are words in ancient languages that just don't exist in English. Translators and scribes used their own understanding to translate it as best they could. The Revised Standard Version was born out of the "grave mistakes" between the KJV and the most ancient Hebrew and Aramaic biblical manuscripts. God's Word is not wrong but we need to know what was mistranslated to English to follow it properly.

That's very good video about the creation of the woman. The only thing I have to say is that you cannot say that the relationship between husband and wife today MUST be as it was in Eden. Why? because you didn't consider the FALL. That is crucial and very important to take in account. Man and woman as much as the creation got CURSED. And that condition remains until today. People argue that in Yeshua we are back to Eden and that every curse has been reverted. Well, I think we just need to look around and see if that is true or not. I see the effects of the curse are clearly present in everything. So YES, man and women were created as one and both sharing the same position before Elohim, in Gen chapter 5.2 it's written that the name of both of them is ADAM which means Human beings, mankind, and that name is for both. BUT, BUT...because of the way events transpired in the garden, the woman was placed in subordination to her husband, the serpent also got cursed and sentenced to be destroyed by the seed of the woman. And the man was told... “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘Do not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground because of you, in toil you are to eat of it all the days of your life, Gen 3:18 and the ground shall bring forth thorns and thistles for you, and you shall eat the plants of the field. Gen 3:19 “By the sweat of your face you are to eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are, and to dust you return.” So the reason why the man got cursed was because he LISTENED TO HIS WIFE, and the creation more that the man himself was cursed causing a lot of struggle for the man to get some food out of the soil. With due respect. That's how I see it.

God never cursed the woman or the man in scripture. He cursed two things 1. The ground (earth) Gen 3:17 Consequences came to both Adam and Eve from the curse to the serpent and the ground I.e. war of the seeds (serpents seed and woman's seed - Christ who would come; the cosmic war) And Consequences for the earth's caretaker - the earth wouldn't easily yield it's fruit. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." .....2 Esdras 7:75 //////////////

I think it's safe to say the rib bone marrow from Adam's rib. Js Adam was made from dust of the earth and woman from Adam's rib bone marrow. Amen +

21. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22. And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her to the man. Genesis 2:21

True. And both were made in the lab. A cordong to shumerian history texts. Which makes sense, because why yrue God would have to do such complicatdd procedure

Adam XY chromosome. From the rib/bone marrow or side, God created Eve XX chromosome, just used the X side, not the Y side.

Genesis 2:21 says he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. If God would have taken the entire one side of Adam's thoracic cage, he would have not been able to breathe properly. So it doesn't make sense that God took one side of Adam's thoracic cage. It is unbelievable 👎👎

So you are limiting the power and authority and ability of the CREATOR of all things living and that which supports living... The day the night the dry the wet and so on

When first reading this passage as a child, I thought God used a rib to create Eve because ribs protect our organs, much like mothers protect humanity's children. Moms love children. ❤️ ❤❤

Just a clarification, Tzela or Tsah' La is plural and originally referred to a colonnade; as is Costae plural, and in ancient Latin refers to the same thing, the perimeter row of columns which support a structure, actually all the columns. It was used later to refer to a ribcage because ribs look like support columns. By this logic, woman is the support system, without which structure is not possible.

I've never heard something with such little importance sound so important. I'll stick with rib bone and will continue to love my wife as Scripture guides.

The dominant role of man over woman did not happen till after the fall. So the fact of being created by a simple bone or a whole side of Adam did not influence the roles between them. They were equal before the fall. Made one for the other.

This reminds me of my Latin teacher at grammar school, who studied theology and informed us about the translation mistakes in Genesis - like apple wrongly translated and hand actually ment and of course about Lilith, Adam's first wife.

And of Christ, the 'second Adam', "one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water." (John 19: 34). So the Bride of Christ was also 'taken. from his side'..

The ribs are also in pairs surrounding the heart and lungs and there’s 24 total, just like the 24 elders in the Revelation. There’s even an extra pair of floating ribs…

It is important to continue to seek knowledge...but it is just as important to accept there are some things we can not know.

A side note, Adam wasnt alone, He had God, angels, animals, plants fish and the whole earth...He was happy😊

Fanny Issac, technically, he wasn't. However, Adam didn't have "a helper companion" (Gen 2:20 NKJV). Read the rest of the chapter, Gen. 2: 21-25, where God performed the first surgery, formed a woman and conducted the first marriage. With all the aforementioned, nothing could compensate for a human companion. Happy, but alone. *Please note:* All other living creatures were spoken into existence. Adam and Eve were formed from matter (dust/ground) and God's breath. Through it all, a miracle nevertheless.

So today, we should say "DNA." Surely that would make greater sense, knowing what we now know that ancient writers didn't.

I don’t think God will allow every generation not to know the Truth. He will make sure that it will come to the point that everyone until now or even in the future knows what is the Truth, whatever language it will come I still believe on the Truth written in the Bible.
