The way I understand is , the whole fund generation by the parent company and its subsidiaries is based on reputation of the parent company. The pertinent question is , How did a lesser known company a.decade ago gain so much reputation overnight and started taking over one after the other companies ? That is the crux of Adani Empire.

Things are much more complicated than what is stated in the video. Some things to note: 1 Adani group relies overwhelmingly on govt contracts ...or you can say government contacts. 2. Most of its debt has come from govt banks and less one says about lending practices in PSU banks the better. 3. There is hardly any public float in most of listed Adani stocks. A large chunk of non-promoter holding has been cornered by Mauritius based FIIs and no one...not even SEBI has been able to know whose money is funding these FIIs. 4.The valuations of Adani stocks are absurd by all financial valuation metrics. Insurance companies and mutual funds stay away from these stocks. 5. The businesses of these companies have poor cash flows compared to their market value. Transferring cash between group companies is not considered a good strategy usually...in most cases such flows are just to hide frailty in the accounts as seen in ADAG group.

Public shareholding in Adani’s is very low and there are speculation that they might be manipulating share price because of lower number of shares in circulation (classic example: Ruchi Soya). further, the investment by DII is also low. This all are in public knowledge then Why would a bank take such a huge risk? There are 2 ways the government might be helping him: 1. Banks are lending him money on the basis of the current valuation (even after knowing the number of shares in circulation)? 2. The SEBI and other agency are not bothering him about the exponential rise in share price and large unknown FII holdings? I hope he pulls it off and the group doesn’t fall in a debt trap. We’ve seen many groups failing because of rising debt.

Yes P/S value is important but that is not the only method of valuation. This is something which is beyond a normal MBA's mind. It has some internal factors that are far beyond public reach.

The more the price of share rises the more he has access for Funds through banks. Which group can use to buy companies and route some money to FII again to buy their own shares to increase the price. This is a viscous cycle. Some day this bubble will burst.

And without any patented product or ground breaking innovation, Adani Enterprises P/E ratio is more than 300 Their open stock in stock market is in single percentage digits. Which means the stocks can be manipulated like the stock of Ruchi Soya. Tata and Reliance companies too have Rs.100k of debt. But they have assets to bank on. In my view Adani companies taking loans and giving loans to each other is like getting a bunch of credit cards using them to repay the others amount. What happens to the investors and banks, if the political patronage goes away? Will Adani even be able to pay the 2.3 lakh crore debt in his lifetime? @@Narimann but the point is tata sons has TCS and tata steel which are profitable, and can act as a backup in case of any problem, unlike adani enterprise where they are not really making much revenue or profit but still have such high market caps and debt. And also tata sons doesn't have such a complex trail of finances. Even when ratan tata took charge of the company and began expanding TATA GROUP internationally by acquiring JLR, tetley and other companies, he didn't do it this way. The way adani enterprise is doing it is very risky one mistake and the whole economy can collapse, and the common man will suffer.

It's great to see how they took advantage of all the opportunities in various spaces and it feels like they are creating a sustainable ecosystem where THINK Power, Transmission and Green will help power up the Airports and SEZs, cement of course their construction that's just this space....not calculating the profits they could make with other orders or projects, but their balance sheet is doubtable and the FIIs buying their share though the way everyone is going for renewable energy, especially this yr's Union Budget it might be good in future but the current PE Ratio Ganesh💀. One big piece which is missing in this "brilliant" strategy is how the stock prices always goes up. And who are these external investors who buy up the shares of listed Adani companies which makes their market cap go up so that Adani group can then pledge these inflated shares as collateral. I remember last year there were a series of investigations into the foreign investors of the Adani group. Obviously nothing happened of that investigation. So GOI backing does help in making sure the investigations do not find anything.

Well... I understand why he is so successful today. The adani group is much ahead in terms of thought process and execution. Let us not forget the humongous Infrastructure created by the adani group, which is an asset to our nation. Having lived in Gujrat, I have seen how he has occupied everything ,from providing gas and electricity to every household( at much cheaper rates than we pay for LPG cylinders) to huge Properties. Anyways, if there is anything like insider trading in his listed companies SEBI has its work to do.

He(Referring to Adani Enterprises) already knew that the company stake in the subsidiaries are gonna jump everytime he gets a big project, and just before financing a project he will increase his(promoters) shareholding in that sister concern, and thus when the price increase up by 100% he will sell and then repeat same with other of his Companies. It is like you 6 Companies are fueling 1 company at once and this cycle is just going on... Investors are only left to speculate which of his company is having it's next turn after this...
